I so hate school concerts, I dread the day one of the kids throws up on stage, it spoils the whole thing for me. Anyway, I have just arrived home from my son's show. As it was the afternoon showing, the younger kids were brought in to watch it, my daughter was one of them. About 10 minutes before the end, a boy in the year above my daughter stood up and shouted to the teachers... " (name I can't recall) is going to be sick!!" Then this girl stands up, puts her hand over her mouth, and rushes out of the hall swiftly followed by one of the teachers.

I have no idea what happened next, but my heart was racing and my imagination working overtime. I am just so glad she got out in time as she was sitting directly behind my daughter, on the floor, and would almost certainly have v* over her.

Now I'm just worrying that there is something going round. I mean, I know kids throw up, and it doesn't mean it's anything nasty, or contagious even, but it's the mind of an emet at work here!

Thank goodness the concert season is over and school is nearly out! My kids have got another 8 days to go and I'm counting them down!

I am a music teacher and I always get scared putting on concerts for that very reason! This year, my fiance and I had a plan. He said if a kid got sick, he would first, make sure someone took care of them (since I could not!), second, make sure I was okay, and third, he said, if I totally freaked, he could direct the show! I thought that was so cute of him! The closest call I have ever had was while I was directing, one of my choir students whispered to me that someone was getting sick. She made it seem like they were right by me, so I kept trying to figure out where they were and I was freaking!! Turns out they were on the other side of the gym from me and someone got it taken care of quickly, thank goodness!

Man that really was a close call! I'm glad she got out of there in time, how horrible would it be if someone puked all over you? I would have been freaking out seeing that too! I know it seems like things are going around, but there could be any reason why she is sick, try to stay positive!

Thanks, I'm trying to stay positive, there don't seem to be many kids out at the moment which is a good sign. Also, it was warm in the hall and only an hour or so after lunch, so she could have just got a bit hot and queasy, fingers crossed!!

That's why I will be so happy when my youngest is done with elementary school, this is his last year. Thank goodness.

That was close, you did good, because I would have probably grabbed my kid and bounced. Done, fineto (sp) I would have been outta there. Once someone says something like that in my presence, too late. I gots to go. Because they come back and join the crowd like nothing ever happened. UH, UH gots to go.

Balancing studies and hobbies is tough. I love singing and dancing, but with assignments piling up, it is hard to find time for it. That is why I use essay services when I need help. They save me so much time and reduce stress, letting me enjoy my hobbies without falling behind in school. It is been a real lifesaver!
