Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that I went to see a Hypnotist last week, about my emet. She said if you don't know what has causedyour emet to start with, then regression is the best thing for you! Regression is when you are under hypnosis and she takes you back to your past and asks you lots of questions about certain subjects your subconscious mind has chosen to talk about.

So I had one session with her, she put me under Hypnosis and I remember everything I said, it really was amazing now I am a totally different person, I am more happy, I eat alot more than I used to, I am not worrying constantly whether I am going to be sick or not. It is great I never thought I could go back to feeling the way I used to.

HoweverI am not completely cured, she merely helped me make it not so much of a problem anymore. If you are thinking about regression or hypnotism then I would have to say to you, go for it! As long as you believe it will work for you and think positive then it should be able to work for you. I hope all this makes sense to you all, I never was very good at explaining myself!

If anyone wants to chat you can send me a private message, as I check my inbox everyday.

Rememeber if I can do it so can you xxx

Thanks for posting this - I've been thinking about hypnotherapy for a couple of years now and am seriously thinking of making an appointment when I go back to uni in England -there is nobody on the island I live on that does hypnotherapy.

I'll pmyou some questions nearer the time if you don't mind.

I'm so glad emet is not a problem anymore for you

    Hello there!
im in a strangely good mood today - trust me im savouring it !!
ahh hypnotherapy - ill give you some good advice here, anyone who is thinkin about it - make sure u get the RIGHT therapist. Ive done hypnotherapy, 5 sessions cost me over £200...and it didnt do a single thing for me. This guy told me he would hypnotise me and cure me, well for a start he didnt hypnotise me he just made relaxation tapes with me which didnt do nething either. Make sure u get the background on the person u choose before you go to see them, and makesure they offer a money guarentee!
I may try regression one day myself, but right now im very sceptical about this kind of thing!
anyways ill leave it there, if u want any questions answerin about where to find one etc just let me know bcos i know a few good links.
    much love

Hypnotism did nothing for me either! And it is costly!!!

The guy sed he could cure me with two sessions but i just couldnt relax enough i guess? I probably wasnt with the right therapist. I tried regression with a counsellor but it didnt do anything? Hmmm im relying on CBT now to help with emet.

poppet - keep us informed of your progress. That would be helpful. Most folks who try hypnotherapy reply like the others here, so it is enlightening to hear that it has helped someone.

See how it goes into the future, and again, keep us posted.

    Poppet,

Do you live in London? as I would be interested to see this hypnotherapist.

I had a hypnotherapy session the other day. I didn't feel that finding that the first two people who pop into my head upon opening an imaginary door were Bertie Basset and Graham Norton helpful in any way shape or form. Total waste of money.
