Okay. I was just sitting in my lounge and holby city (aka hospital drama) came on the TV. As soon as it started it showed a girl about my age being sick on herself. It just reminded me how much i hate watching them. Because im not as bad in terms of my emet now, im okay with them, but i hate watching them. The only hopsital series i watch is ER because - well lets face it, its so cool! Plus i havent seen anyone vomit on it in a long time! Does anyone else watch hospital TV dramas???

I used to watch Chicago Hope, I really really like
Christine Lahti but as soon as she had left, the show went to shambles.
I can handle v on shows a little easier only because of knowing its all
fake. They just come up with some mixture and make it look real. (okay
this might bother a few people) In fact, I cant remember what talk show
it was, I think it was Oprah (I dont like her now because she made fun
of emetophobia a few years ago) but back in 1996 they had a 'behind the
scenes of hospital dramas' episode and they showed how they make v, and
it was actually made up of a mixture that was quite palatable and the
man who was displaying it started eating it lol- but REMEMBER its all
fake. The only thing that bothers me about v scenes more than anything
is how they have to make the sounds of retching even though its all
acting. However the only hospital show I really watch sometimes
    is Scrubs LOL

Uggh I cant remember why but she did. She thought it was
strange or something like that, pure garbage. I dont like her one bit.
I was never crazy about her to begin with but the only reason I watched
that episode that day was because it was interesting however after that
had happened my feelings towards her got that much worse Uggh. She is a
hyprocrite, she wants to appear so goody goody but she is a witch!
    Kinda like my SIL

I like hospital dramas, but the only parts I dont like watching r the graphic operations... eurgh! Bit too gross for me! People v*ing on screen jus kinda makes me go "eurgh" and then its ok. I dont think too much on it anymore.

Oh Lordy! Don't get in between me, the tv, and my hospital shows!!! I have NO idea why, but I always watch them when they're on.

I'm not as fond of ER as I used to be (was SO happy when Ramano met his fate with that helicopter!... only cause it's fake mind you... I'm not that hateful!) but I still watch it. I also watch Third Watch (NYPD and Paramedic show), Scrubs, Trauma: Life in the ER (which is real), Maternity Ward, and whatever others happen to be on... I've even been known to watch "Venom ER" before... sad isn't it!

90% of the time when I'm watching the real shows though I end up bawling my eyes out (and sometimes even when the shows, like ER and Third Watch, aren't real). I can't stand to see a child in pain... that's the worst for me, anything with children just totally tugs at the heart. Oh... and the episode of ER where Carter's baby dies... TOO SAD! It ranks right up there with the one where Anthony Edwards dies on my list of most depressing tv moments EVER!

I think watching the shows is good exposure therapy. I guess because I know on shows like ER and Third Watch the vomit isn't real... and they rarely, if ever, show anyone actually getting sick on thereality hospitalshows.

Another hospital show I watch is like the children's marathons... and you have to be careful. I did watch the St. Jude's marathon once where they showed one of the little children vomiting into a basin (didn't show much of anything, but you could hear it, and his mom was comforting him).I can honestly say that it didn't gross me out at all.My heart just broke in two for the little guy... I can't even begin to imaginewhat it would be like to go through something like that. Kinda makes ya feel bad that you watch, and the industry makesthose shows for entertainment.

I quite like hospital documenatrys which are quite scarry. I've watched casulty a few times for some exposure therapy - But I always seem to watch the episodes with loads of v* in them! They are scarry - but its good exposure therapy really - and in a way its better than watching the real thing happen.

I never used to like watching them, but now I'm addicted! I watch Discovery Health Channel all the time. I love watching the real shows, like Life in the ER and the maternity shows. I started watching reruns of Chicago Hope, too. I think I like it better than ER. I used to watch ER all the time when I lived with my mom, but now I don't really watch it much. I'm so far behind that I have no idea what's going on now. But I rarely see v* scenes, and they never show it with the reality shows. I love watching the surgeries. It's funny that v* freaks me out, but when they show a hunk of intestines or brain, I think it's awesome! I'm a weirdo!

Um....I do not really watch hospital shows anymore. I used to watch a show on the Discovery Health Channel (I think) and one time, if I can remember correctly, they showed someone vomiting nd it was real. I turned the channel. Itwasa show where paramedics in different areas each episode go and rescue people and do medical things like that. I have watched ER a few times. I can't really get into it.

The only shows I really watch are Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Amazing Race (which my contain vomiting from people sometimes), the news, and food channel.

The only thing I'm afraid of about the food channel is a show called All American Festivals. It is about food festivals. Sometimes, at those, they have eating contests, which bothers me because people can vomit from eating wy too much. I doubt tht they would even tape someone vomiting, even in a bag or bucket, because it is the food channel. Now, on one episode, at the eating contest, people had to hold bags for the contestants if they (you know). Other then that, it is a good show.

OH youngemet... have you been watching "The Amazing Race" this season???

I just have to say that those people... almost all of them, have got to be thebiggest bunch of moronsthe U.S has EVER put on t.v. (well maybe not quite, but close!!) I've been appauled more than a few times this season!

I mean... they are all over the age of 20... therefore they have absolutely NO excuse for #1, not knowing what an ancient scarab was! I mean I was in the complete other room, my parents were watching it and the one guy thought it was a sword???Iscreamed out,"UM!!! NO you MORON!!! It's a ancientEgyptian symbol of abeetleesque bug!" Not even ONE of them knew that!! AGH! I learned that in grade school. My mom anddad wererolling.

Then #2... as if that weren't bad enough... they wereall stating how they wereSO happy to be going to "Africa" when they were done in... EGYPT! Now I'm sorry, but last time I checked, and in fact, everytime I've checked, Egypthasactually beenIN Africa!!! HELLO DUMMIES! Way to prove that reality show contestants can be intelligent... If Bush weren't bad enough... I've just about lost complete faith in the intelligence of the people in this country!!!! GRR!!

Lol... stepping off the soapbox now... but there's NO excuse for that kind of ignorance! Not at that age!!!

I watch Holby City and Casualty. They don't really feature much v* on them, just the odd incident. Its good exposure therapy, even though I know its not real.
