my exposure--update!!!

My aunt was sitting on her back porch today so I yelled over and I managed to bring up that I heard she was sick. She said on Thursday night she got sick and on Friday she had diahhrea and a fever. I said that she must have gotten a bug and she said yes, that she think she did. She said today she just feels 'blah.'


So she definitely had a stomach virus of some sort, wouldn't you say? My cousin is constantly over here and I'm constantly cleaning what he's touched. How long do I leave bleach sit for it to kill germs, or does it kill instantly? I'm also bathing in hand sanitizer basically. Every couple of minutes I'm sanitizing my hands. Not touching my face at all, even if my hands are clean. How long will she be contagious? And I was with her on Wednesday while she drove me to my counseling, so was she contagious on Wednesday even if she hadn't gotten sick yet? And if my cousin gets it, how long will he be contagious for afterwards?


Wow, this is long. I'm just really scared. Still scared to eat. *cries*

If you had to have this bug, you should already have been sick...it don't take more than 3 days to make you feel sick... And for your cousin, if he have it, that means he should be sick NOW, he will maybe be contagious for 1 day after he stopped v** and having diarhea...it's what my nurse aunt told me...

Yeah it sounds like if you were going to get it, you wouldve by now. And you really need to eat! Lots of ppl get bugs without passing them onto anyone. Thats quite common, not every bug is contagious. Try to eat a little, then just take it easy.

I can't eat. I had a scare around 1:00 AM last night. Real nausea too. It's been 24 hours since I've last eaten and I'm still afraid to eat. If I picked up the bug on Friday, which was the day I found out about it so I could have, then I'll have it tonight. I can't eat knowing that there is a chance. I dont know what to do. I'm a nervous wreck!!! :'(

You're not going to be sick, you would have had it by now.

I don`t know if this will help but if you should be sick, I think its a lot better to be sick with a little food in your tummy then to dry heave because there is nothing there, but you don`t have to feast, just a piece of toast and some water.....But you are not going to be sick, you`ve told yourself 3 days and then Bang! You start feeling sick, its in your head sweetie.....Your going to be just fine!

Yeh, you can get really really nausea from not eating. So you really really should. If you don't, you just make it worse on yourself.
