    Hi peeps!

I'm just wondering if anyone is on this drug? I've been on seroxat for 2 years as ofsept and my doc wants me to change overto this oneas it doesn't have such bad withdrawl symptoms. I've done quite well with the seroxat asat one stageI was taking 40mg and I'm down to 20mg...am not gonna decrease anymore untilI come home at x-mas or maybe even next summer (after I finish my MA at uni)

Just wonderinghow people coped with this (I am aware that everyone experiences these med differently just wondering what the gerneal concencus was)

    CheersX

Well I have been on Celexa (Citalopram) 20mg for about a year now and it has been working wonders for me. I lost my meds ( I have a feeling that in my husbands cleaning spree he accidently threw them out) anyways I was off them for about 3 weeks and I it was horrible. I was depressed, had bad self image, short tempered, sleepy, forgetful and sensitive. Now that was just going off them with no gradual withdrawl or a replacement drug. So those was the drastic side of the effects so I imagine if you were taken off properly you will be fine.
When I went off paxil I didn't have any problem I went off because I was pregnant and wasn't sure if I could keep taking it. Ididn't havea doctor yetso I gradually took myself off it.
Apparantly they are similar that is why the doctor put me on them so I am not sure if they would have the same effect.

citalopram is my miracle worker atm .

im on 20mg, and i swear i wudnt have got thru this last year of my life without it.

i certanily notice the difference between me now and me before i took citalopram.

the only side effects i got were a bit of light-headedness and a tiny bit of nausea... but it was only for a week, its worthbit!!
