Off topic BUT not....

OK I am apalled right now, I just finished watching Monster with Charlize Theron, and the movie sickened me, knowing that this was a true story.


I really feel sick to my stomach and its sort of scaring me but I know it will pass, but I was just wondering who lse saw the movie and if anyone reacted the way I did....The part that really made me hate her was when she killed the last guy who was begging for his life and who had a grandchild on the way....


That movie will be haunting my dreams tonight...

Yeah, I saw it. I didn't like it at all. The only time I had sympathy for her was inthe graphic scene where she's raped and beaten horribly.


I don't know about you guys, but I'm not a fan of Charlize Theron, and after I saw this movie, even though I know she's acting, it turned me off of her and her movies.


It just rubbed me the wrong way.

I havent seen the movie yet, but i wanted to watch it cos a lot of people said it was really good and true to life? I know its supposed to be a bit sick, i mean its about a killer after all.... and these things happen... but i know what u mean about it haunting u, i feel like that about some movies that are pure fiction!! Is it worth watching though...? Or is it really yukky..?

Its yucky in a sense that anyone who has a heart will feel bad for the ppl who were murdered by this pyscho, and yes its a true story and thats what killed me last night, because these innocent, ok well not completely innocent, some of them, these men were punished for another man's crime.


I would tell you to watch it because it is a good movie, yet it is a sad story.


And I do like Charlize Theron and I still do because she looked nothing like herself in the movie, she was god awful UGLY!!!!!

I saw this film a little while ago. I personally think it is an amazing movie, made from tragic circumstances. It showed both sides of the story in such great light ..... just wish people like her could receive help they need before they end up taking the wrong path in life. Sad!

If you don't understand where she is coming from, it is absolutely horrible. However, I felt so horrible for the person in this movie. The reason why she didnt kill the guy who she gave a handjob to is because she knew he wasn't going to hurt her. She obviously suffered from severe PTSD (which some of us can relate to). The guy she killed with a gun is because she thought he was going to use that gun to abuse and kill her just like that first guy did. I guess 'survival of the fittest'.


All she wanted was someone to love her, and all everyone ever did was hurt her. Terribly sad sad movie that brought me to tears several times.

Yeah but why kill the older man who was just giving her a lift and offering his home to her, he didn't want sex from her, he had a family and a grandson on the way...*sniff,sniff*
