I nearly fainted... Ive never fainted in my life... everythin went darker n slower n my head got so heavy n wooly.. n things started closing in. Afterwards I felt so weak I could barely move, no exageration, for a change. Theres no reason for this...

Earlier (like 6 or 7 hours earlier) I had a impressive panic attack, my first in a while...

Ive been sleepin 10-12 hours a night n having no energy at all during the day. I spent the last three days lyin on my bed reading books, n online. Thats it, apart from brief forrays to the shop for food.

What the f***s goin onnnn? Any ideas? ... atall?

Hmmm dunno but perhaps you should see a dr? Not to scare
you but it may not all be related to panic. Maybe your iron is low or
something. Just a thought. Well I hope you are okay

Im not sure but it sounds like youve been staying in a little too much. I think you should spend at least 3 hours a day outside your home because you can start to get grumpy and dazy if you stay in the house too long. My advice would be to drink a lot of water if you nearly fainted earlier on and maybe to try and go on a cycle ride tomorrow, maybe a jog or go into town and just do like food shopping or something. Thats what i do when i need to get out i just go and help my mum and get food or something like that. I do know that you cant stay in the house constantly. You also might be fainting because of the glare on the screen of the computer. I often find i get light headed if i stare at the computer screen too long so i suggest take 10 minutes intervals when on the ocmputer maybe to go and get a glass of water or something to eat or even, like you said, to go out quickly and get some food.

    Hope my advice is helpful.

    Best Wishes, Chris

Yup I agree, could be low iron or blood. You should get it checked out hun. I'm sure it's nothing too serious. Tell them everything you told us though!

I hope you're feeling better, fainting isn't fun at all.

Iron.. ya loose iron when ya bleed right? I had like 3 periods last month thanks to the pill. Im still in minor pain sometimes, but stopped bleeding weeks ago now.

I know what ya mean about spaced-ness being caused by spendin too much time inside.. I dont think its that this time...
... n I havnt been online all day, so I dont think it was anythin to do with the computer.
Haha, jog. I cant even convince myself to MOVE half the time. But thanks for the suggestions

What can I do about iron deficiancies? Could that really make ya faint? is there somethin I can take thats relatively 'safe' from a emet point of view?

Take an iron supplement or multivitimans, they have ur daily allowance of iron in and they very rarely have side effects. But go to ur doctor to check ur not anaemic, they will check ur blodd to see if u are... make sure u mention that it could be anaemia else they might not test u for it and its quite common!!!! U know what doctors are like! I get very lethargic, sleepy, dizzy when ive been having too much sleep... try having 8hrs sleep a night then u might be a bit more alert??!! Hope u feel better soon...

It could be one of many things just like it could be nothing, try not to stress about it but I would go see your GP and ask him to do some tests and make sure you tell him you want your thyroid tested also....

I've actually had that before a couple of times... and I too was in the shower. I'm not sure exactly what causes it. The first time I had it happen was several years back when I was in high school. I'm not sure if I got up too fast or had the water too hot or what, but it hit me so fast I literally fell trying to get out of the tub and then just lie their for a few minutes on the floor before getting up only to have it happen again when I got to my room. I stayed home from school that day and felt pretty darn shatty... that's my new word ;o)... for the rest of the day until I ate something.

The second and third times were more obvious to solve the reasons for, but no less scary. The second was afterdonating blood one day and for me I have to try to stay calm and cool for at least a day afterwards to replenish lost fluids... but that night I went for a walk with my mom (mistake #1)and then hopped in a nice hot shower (mistake #2)when we got home. I just had to lie down for a while and drink some juice to feel better.

The third time was after having my teeth pulled and I just still wasn't feeling up to par and shouldn't have been standing in a shower for 45 minutes (which is my typical shower).

You're probably fine... just make sure you're getting enough sugar and if you take really hot showers, cool it down a bit (it's really not good for your body anyways). I hope you're feeling better though!

    wink

Giving up doesn\'t always mean that we are weak. Sometimes it just means that we are strong enough to let go.

Just thought I'd add...I don't think your period would cause low blood...would it? Though it might, I'm not too sure, but I remember I was worried about that. My period was all wonky and I had it for like 2 weeks, and I was scared of becoming anemic!!

This month I'll have two, because of the penicillen I had to take.

i think it is a lack of iron as well. having 3 periods in one month has gotta be tough on ur body u must have lost a lot of blood. tht can u make u faint and anaemic... if u look under ur lower eye lid... is it red/pink lke its supposed to be, or white? if its white its probably anaemia and u shud get iron tblets for that.

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn\'t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn\'t know that so it goes on flying anyway.
