Today in spanish we had to introduce our selves to all 30 people in spanish. This required us to shake hands with everyone. Plus you were so close to them they were breathing on you. I was so nervous I barely remember the spanish I was suppose to learn. I cant stand shaking hands with people.

After class I put on a bunch of hand sanitizer!

That's about all you can do. It's not like you can refuse, right? I have a friend at work who hates shaking hands, I don't think she's an emet, but she hates germs... anyways, she carries purel in her pocket and discretely puts it on after shaking hands. You did the right thing!

You will be fine, especially since youjsprayed on the disinfectant! I hope that the spanish didn't get the best of you though! Perhaps you could do a post in Spanish some time to show us all how good you are at it!

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn\'t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn\'t know that so it goes on flying anyway.

I'm the same way about shaking people's hands. It really bothers me, especially, when I'm at church. I do shake hands, but when I get home, I wash them. I also make sure I don't touch my face after that. My mom's the same way.I'm sure a lot of people wash their hands after that too. Meaning non-emets. Melanie

Im not so bothered about the shaking hands, i also have to do it a lot when i go to church and meet new people. Although, for me it doesnt bother me as much. However, you will be okay - im doing spanish for gcse's at the moment and we had to do the same thing but it was fine.
