I live in Florida and my family and I were hit by Hurricane Frances and just barely avoided Hurricane Charley. Now Ivan is on the way, it is a category 5, and I am terrified! I have enough trouble eating, and if we get hit by Ivan, and our house is destroyed or we have no power for a long time, I am really scared that I might starve to death. I can only eat certain foods that feel "safe" to me. If something like what I mentioned happens, we have to eat what is available, and I don't know if I will be able to. Things like this that stress me out also make it much more difficult for me to eat anyway. Please, please, I hope Hurricane Ivan does not hit Florida. I feel for everyone down there in Florida. Storms around here are usually thunder and lightening and when the power goes off even for fifteen minutes I'm a nervous wreck. Even though it will be difficult to eat, please try. You need your strength and energy. When I went about forty hours without eating I felt weakened and ached all over. It's best to eat something easy, like soup or toast. Maybe a piece of fruit. ((hugs)) I'll say a prayer for you and I do hope that Ivan passes over Florida.

Florida's having a toughh time at the mo... i know how u feel about food. is there some food u feel safe eating that doesnt need to be cooked etc so if the power goes u will still have stuff to eat? You must eat, little and often is good if you are scared. Im crossing my fingers that the hurricane doesnt come your way.

    (((hugs)))

I hope Hurricane Ivan misses Florida too. I have family down there, and I feel so bad for everyone. Hey Sweetfreak, where exactly do you live? We're planning on moving to the Sarasota area soon. Actually, we're going there the first two weeks of October. I hope everything goes ok. Try not to worry too much. I know it's easier said than done. I will keep you in my prayers along with my family.

    Sweetfreak,

My heart goes out to you and everyone in Florida. My grandparents live there and are in the process of cleaning out from Frances. I used to live in Orlando so I know what damage a hurricane can do. I will say a little prayer for you and hope that Ivan takes a turn for the west!

    Hang in there!

Thanks for all the support. I live on the west coast of Florida, just north of the Tampa area. I am getting more and more scared, because right now it looks as if Ivan is headed in our direction. I am sorry for anybody that lives in Florida right now.

I hope and pray that Ivan takes a wrong turn. Floridians have had too much already. I feel so bad for everyone there also. Everyone will be in my prayers. Take care and try not to worry too much. Keep your fingers crossed and just keep praying. ((hugs)) Melanie
