I AM THE LUCKIEST EMET EVER BECAUSE I GOT TO MEET NEHA!!!
I decided to post this under "Relationships" because that is what this site is all about. We emets have a kind of relationship and bond with each other that no one else can understand. We have something in common that makes us feel so many emotions that only we can relate to.
Neha is even more wonderful, witty, fun, charming and caring in person than she is on this site. She made me feel very relaxed and at ease. (Her parents are very nice too).
We had LUNCH, as she said in her post. We were not nervous and didn't worry about what or how much we ate. It just did not matter. We managed to talk away a few hours and the time went so fast. It did not matter that we are not the same age or anything else. There is that common bond which knows no limits. It is so refreshing to talk to someone who does not judge us or think we are weird or silly for having the fears and feelings that we do. We talked about other things too, not just problems. Neha very graciously endured looking at pictures of my entire family, including my dog.
Although I enjoyed watching my niece participate in her competitions, the highlight of my week was meeting Neha and seeing what a really nice young lady she is. I think she will go far and be successful with whatever she does. She will make a GREAT teacher, and she will beat emet too because she is tackling this at a young age and getting the help she needs.
Something I found very funny was my mother, who was on the trip with me, did not want me to meet with someone I had met on the internet. Now, I am 55 years old, married, a mother, a grandmother, and I was not about to let my mother tell me that I could not meet Neha. I understood why she felt this way but I had to convince her that our site is different from any other and we KNOW each other very well just by sharing our common problem. I assured her that I would not be abducted by aliens and taken away by ruthless individuals. (I agree that you should be careful. You just need to use common sense. I think that here we can get a pretty good idea about who is genuine and is really who they say they are).
Anyway, I know this is long, but you all just have to find a way to get to Texas, USA to meet our Neha!!! If you can't do that, I highly recommend that you try to find a fellow emet who lives somewhat nearby and make the effort to get together. It will be well worth it!</font>
