    Okay
I just saw a commercial about the new season of Fear Factor coming.
Then my thoughts went off, WHY must they have disgusting shows like
this? I know these shows have people v'ing. Then I kept on thinking why
must many movies have v parts even with sometimes showing it! Even some
tv shows these days! What is the thrill?? I would imagine even nonemets
wouldnt find it too amusing! I mean okay its fine to mention if someone
was sick in a movie or a show but must they actually SHOW it like they
did in King Pin or Big Daddy, Space Cowboys, just a few.... just
starting to think.. cant fathom anything these days

I feel the same way! I do not know how anyone gets any thrill by watching people eat weird animals parts and then the people vomiting after they eat it. I also do not understand why they put vomiting scenes in movies. I guess they do not understand that people are afraid of seeing people get sick. Especially in good movies. Why do they have to ruin a movie by making a character spew out fake vomit from a tube or something? For example, I thought Bring It On was a great movie, but I do not understand why they have the girl get sick in it. Now, there is not much reason to be afraidabout movies that have sick scenes, in my opinion, because they are fake and nobody is really getting sick. But I understand. Peace.

Most people don't have a problem with this. I don't mind it either really. It sometimes makes me a bit uncomfortable, but I don't think that's such a bad thing. It's no different from people watching scary movies. People like stuff that makes them uncomfortable sometimes.

Sometimes I think it is used for a dramatic effect, and other times it seems just silly and superfluous.
what a horrible night to have a curse.

I am kind of both ways on this one.I like the show. Not every show has a round where they eat something. Not everyone gets sick and I have found it to be...well...theraputic.
The other thing is that there are a few questionable things that people eat, BUT I love watching The learning Channel, discovery and the cooking channel and 99% of what they have in front of them are things that are delicacies in other parts of the world. Perhaps not in those combinations but they are.

    MAY BE BOTHERSOM.******************
In fact when i was in school we were studying differnt foods and survival and we had to eat grasshoppers and ants for part of the experiment. They were actaully pretty tastey once you got it out of your mind that it was gross. The grasshoppers tasted like a mix of KFC and tofu veggie only all crispy
the ants tasted like lemon drops.
The little maggoty things they have to eat (acording to a tribe of black people (sorry forget here they are from) are kind of a peanutty taste.
The thousand year old egg (which really isn't that old) is a Chinese delicassy and is very traditional in a lot of families,
The other body parts are even sold as medicinal remedies. Eyes are aparantly VERY good for you.
    I could go on but I won't
I know it seems gross and I WISH that they wouldn't emphasize the wretching sounds but at least what they are eating isn't something that is going to HURT them
There are times when I just can't handle it and think "ewww why are they doing this"

I was a little worried but other cultures always facinated me and I love trying new things. I knew they were going to make us eat anything that was going to make us sick or tasted raunchy. In fact fellow classmates went back for seconds.
I was a little freaked that someone was going to be sick or something but everyone was fine.

    Wow
how interesting. I love other cultures as well but not like that I
do something that 99% of emets probably would never even dream of and
that is eating sushi! I LOVE sushi and never had a bad experience with
it. I love East Asian food, always have. Go figure.

I always watch it just because of th e vomiting I try to
expose myself to everything possibly that has to do
with vomit.. kind of an exposure therapy thing..
I have stopped being too disgusted by it lately.. I
dunno if it works longterm thoguh
