I've got myself into a situation lol

I was job hunting a lot, and because of my emet this is my first job so people aint in a rush to hire me. Anyway I got an interveiw for a Job with Norwich Union, working in an office which I swore I wouldn't do (I wanted shop work) and after about 3 interviews somehow I got the job. Now I am TERRIFIED. I start work tomoro...I signed the flipping contract! and now I am freaking out Big style. I felt like I had to sign it cos I REALLY need the money, but no I'm scared of so many things. I don't know if I can do this, and now I have no choice!

I HATE meeting new people etc Ughhhhhhh

Theres a first time for everything!! I'm sure you'll be fine! I remember my first job, we all had to stand up in front of everyone (about 200 people!!!) and say four things about ourselves! lol

you'll be fine! good luck tommorow!
.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

    Louise,

Unfortunately I have no advice for you because I've never had a job myself. But I have done some volunteer work, which is really different lol,so no advice. But I wish you the best of luck!! There is NOTHING you can't do, Louise, and you've proved that with your many triumphs in the past few months!! Sure you are nervous! It's natural to be, but I'm sure you will knock em' dead tomorrow, and soon you won't even remember why you were nervous in the first place!

Good luck and tell us how your first day went!

I find that the one thing that forces the phobia out of the mind for a while is a job. While I had one everything was better.

You really have no choice but to put it aside for work, as much as you can. It sounds scary but it's good, because there's none of this waffling and 'trying' when you have to work.
what a horrible night to have a curse.

Remember that after the first day, they are NOT new people any more. Everybody in that office was new once, and most of them will have been nervouse too. They obviously know that you are best for the job because you got through 3 interviews to get it. And you know you can do it, or you wouldn't have applied in the first place!

Take each hurdle as it comes, and remember that no-one is going to think less of you for asking questions when you first start. Make sure they show you the bathrooms - established staff sometimes forget that newbies don't know where they are and may be embarrassed asking!

    Best wishes, Jill xxx

    Louise, you CAN DO THIS!

please please please please... dont let emet tke control here..

its normal to be nervous before a first day at work anyway... so see if u can fool ur brain into putting it down to that.

tomorrow morning, leave the house with ur head held high and as confident as u can do... NOTHING is going to happen, i can almost promise you that.

    wishing u all the best.

Aww sweety you will do awsome. EVERYONE gets nervous about a new job and this being your first it is TOTALLY Normal it isn't your emet that is making you feel that way. It is just the norm.
    CONGRATS too.

I know it isn't the job you were"looking for" but the company you are working for is a good name. It may not be a customer service job, but you don't have to deal with people from the out side now. It may take a while to get to know the other people you work with but they will become customary. If you feel off you don't have to worry that you will be with a customer at the time or that you have a line of people or a store full of people. There is almost ALWAYS a way to advance when you are at an office, to a better paying area. It may take time but hey it is often worth it.
they won't through everyone at you all at once. Its not like they are all going to be standing there staring at you. You will be walked around and you will meet them individually and just very casual too like as you are being walked passed them. Like "here is Joe"...and this is Mel she will be your supervisor" and blah blah blah.

Chin up chikie you have a job....wooo hooo. Not an easy task and its sometime to put on the resume if you choose to start looking later on.
    GOOD LUCK

Congratulations on getting that job! I bet you'll be fantastic at it! I don't like meeting new people either but I work as a secretary/receptionist so have no choice either but you do find it gets easier with time so don't worry, just enjoy the fact that you havea really good job!
