Why did this have to happen now? I just v*ed the other day and I'm not ready to deal with this.

Practically everyone at school has got a v* bug, someone evenran out half way through my history lesson, and again a different person in english. I can't handle this, there isn't anywhere safe in the school because almosteveryone seems to be infected.

The only bright spot to this is that I only have 3 days left til half term. How the hell am I going to make it til then? I've been washing my hands a ton and I didn't touch my face or go any nearer to people than nessecary but I am freaking out here. Someone had actually v*ed on the desk in one classroom before the lesson and they'd cleaned it up but I could still smell it and I couldn't smell any disinfecant or anything. And only one window was open so there must have been germs and particles everywhere. I even sat next to this girl all through geography who later v*ed.

This is like my worst nightmare come true and I'm sooooo scared.

I cant begin to imagine how you must feel. The UK seems to be overun with sv's at the mo and its all over the news. I find myself compelled to read every news article about it to see if it heading in my direction.

I have been scanning the peolpe at work each day and listening to their conversations, if anyone mentions the word ill, im like, whats wrong, what are the symptons!!! Just last weeka couple of people at work v*,I had to virtually begone of them to go home.Noone else seems to understand what the problem is.

Just keep clean, follow the usual emet rules and hopefully you'll be OK.

Ugh! I really feel for you. You are doing what you can to avoid it. Keep us posted. Do you have anything for anxiety?

Wow, that really is a nightmare. It sounds likeyou are doing everything you can to avoid it. Just keep it up. The poeple who are catching this bug probably have not taken any precautions, and that is why they are sick now. You are being so cautious, so your chances of catching it are slim. Just hang in there!!

What the heck is going on? I don't get it. Do u think there could have been a Norwalk outbreak or something? I'm not trying to scare you. I'm sure you will be fine. Hang in there and keep washing your hands.

Madisonmom: No I don't take anything for anxiety because it's not an issue every day, and I don't want to take medication if I can avoid it.

And princessmel, I don't know if it's Norwalk. I don't think so because there are practically no symptons (as opposed to Norwalk where there is d*, shivering etc)

Everyone else, thanks for the support. I hope it will be ok :s

Oh my God, I didn't go in to school today, parly because I have a cold, as do both sisters, but mainly to avoid all the v* at school, but today has been just as bad! I had to start the day by cleaning cat v* off the carpet because I'm not going to make my 10 year old sis do it, or my other sister on her birthday and that was gross but not that scary, but now the 10 year old is v*ing from coughing too much! I've sent her to bed with some calpol and a basin so I hope it will be ok. Crossed fingers I guess.

you poor thing! the hits just keep on coming for you. I always would stay home from school when the virus was going around badly. Just think you're distancing yourself from it for an entire day, just picture the school airing out it's germs and germs dying while you're not there.

you are very mature and strong to be able to take care of your sister after she has v'd, and deal with the cat.I think you're gonna be just fine. hang in there!! *prayers*

Thisis getting ridiculous now, 10 year old sis was sick again - in the car! We were on our way back from a resteraunt and I made her sit in the front away from me because I had a bad feeling, then she started coughing really badly, I started scrambling madly and found a bag in the back seat and gave it to her just too late.

I spent the rest of the journey shaking and going oh my god oh my god oh my god. Whats next? I'm freaking out.

    hi hannah

how are you now. It is awful here in the UK at the mo. At the school where i teach so many kids are off with the sv. There is loads of fluey viruses about as well.

If i were you I would stay home the rest of this week. Im a teacher so i know i shouldnt say that (attendance should be 95% blah blah!) but to be honest i think it will harm your health more (through anxiety) if you do decide to go in. If it was the end of any othre week i probably wouldnt think that but as it is just before half term that means you would have 10 days before going back.

i hope you are doing ok

Oh god! I feel for you so much, that sounds like my worst nightmare - I wasn't aware about how many SV's are going around the UK - I don't think I'll be going to college for a while - I'm glad I skipped this week, I didn't want to go in because I had a bad feeling about it all!

Keep staying strong though, you have done so well dealing with it.. Where abouts in good old UK are you?

Well it seems like today should be okay. I'm home again and Ruth seems to be coping with this cough thing without v*ing. Jackie, I'm about 20 minutes from London.
