I cannot take this anymore. Almost everynight as dinner gets done I feel so nauseous. It just will not go away. Tonight is really bad too. It seems I have an aversion to beef. I put a pot roast on earlier in the crock pot and the smell is making me gag...literally.

    Sorry, had to rant.

I cannot eat in the evenings, unless I plan on staying up all night long. Eating at night makes me nauseated SEVERELY! I have to stay up and stay sitting upright after eating. I am becoming scared to eat at night - even drink in the evenings (soda, water, etc...) - but I do push fluids when I feel I can handle it.

Pregnancy made me really have aversions to some foods, especially meats. Your sense of smell is so much stronger and your stomach is so much weaker. I think you will be much better as you get further into your pregnancy!

If meat is being a bugger right now, stay away from it. Find protein in other foods. I had so many food aversions, and they would come and go. One day, the thought of a particular food made me gag, and thenext I was craving it!! Gotta love pregnancy!!!

    Take it easy, preggy!!!

Oooh, I can relate. I made my kids taco's for dinner and I can't even sit at the table with them right now. The smell is horrible. I also have this terrible aversion to chicken this time around. The sight, texture, everything about it makes me nauseous. I just try and squeeze in protein where I can with peanut butter, eggs, cheese (*although not to much of that with the prenatal vitamins or I have a completely different problem!) Funny thing is, when I am able to squeeze in some meat protein, I feel so much better energy wise. Such a vicious cycle. I am 19.5 weeks and never had food aversions like this with my other two kids. Maybe this one will be a boy

Believe me, I have the same issues and I am 26 weeks. Meat turns me off most days too, especially my hubby's fave -steak! I am also suffering from heartburn and indigestion with some acid reflux most days. My last pregnancy I felt the same way the entire time, so I'm pretty sure these stomach issues are going to stay with me for the duration. It's a good thing I'm not having any more kids because with the sv* going around and having a 5 year old in school I'm just freaking out and am really nervous about next winter when I have 2 kids. It's hard enough taking care of 1 sick child.

Try to stick with the simple things at night if you can't eat anything else . . . Vitamin B6 and ginger pills are great for n* if you want to take something.

I hope you feel better soon! -Alissa

OMGosh...heartburn and reflux are hitting me too. I actually think thats a lot of my problem. I feel full a lot, burp, and just feel like I could retch at any time. I have been taking Unisom and B6 which helps but I took a Zantac and I am hoping that works. I took some Tums earlier and they help a lot, they just dont last long. I ate dinner tonight with no problem. I made fried chicken, macaroni and cheese. Hubby and I had a salad (french dressing is my new best friend...since I have been pregnant I LOVE IT!) Kids had applesauce. It is trying to reflux its way up .

I have 3 kids. This baby is my 4th. Talk about scared of a stomach virus. If we get one in here...it will take forever to leave.

Wow, you are sooo brave with 3 kids and the 4th on the way - I am so scared of having to take care of 2 sick kids. 1 sick one gives me a major panic attack. You are strong, I have to say that! I can't imagine it being around for so long with the entire family. an (sv*) How do you do it? Does your hubby help you out and sympathize with your emet? Mine doesn't and it really sucks! I know exactly how you are feeling with the digestive issues and the full belly - my stomach is getting so big since I'm starting my 7th month and it always feels like there is no room left for anything. LOL I can't wait until he's outta there!
