Donna: How are you doing now? Just try to relax and not think about it. Have you talked to your friend again?

Well, now she has a fever of over 102 and keeps saying she hopes she doesn't throw up!!! She really isn't a puker, either, I mean, she doesn't do it very often, but she's one of those people who keeps doing it once she starts!!!

A temp of 102 usually goes with influenxa not an sv. She is probably getting the flu. Kim

I just got off the phone with my Nurse Pract. and she said it sounds like influenza, she said with this type of flu vomiting or no vomiting comes with it.
I hope your friend is feeling better Donna. John had the same thing last year and he was sick for 3 days, he felt sick but didn't vomit.

A high fever usually rules out the SV. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon.

Donna, try not to stress. I know when I get a fever like that I feel nauseous and its not a stomach virus. I am sure everyone will be fine. Are you breastfeeding??

Does your baby like the bottle better? I had 2 friends that pumped since their babies liked the bottle best. My son did not care and he liked whatever he got. I did nurse for a year and that first year he only had one thing and it was a fever for 12 hours and that was it. He did stay well then. Your'e a great mom to be able to nurse while being so nervous. When I was stressed, that milk was not flowing so well.

Aiden should be fine. I pumped with Madison too...for months. I ended up renting a Medela Symphony pump in order to keep up with her.

Oh thank you!! That's my "baby" Lucy. She's a 5 lb. chihuahua, almost 3 years old, with the cutest personality!!! I love her sooooo much

Yes, Aidan likes the bottle better, I tried to nurse him last night and he wanted no part of it! I have a Medela Lactina pump, since I pump 6 or 7 times a day--I am just a milk cow!!!! That's how I spend the majority of my day, it's a pain, I have to bring the pump with me everywhere I go!!! Aidan won't even drink formula unless he is starving!!!

Wow, you guys are dedicated to breastfeeding. I breastfed both my kids for a year, and with David (the little one) he had some sort of dairy intolerance as an infant and couldn't have regular formula so I pumped for him whenever I wanted to go out, until we discovered soy formula. But if I'd had to pump and bottlefeed on an ongoing basis, I never would have made it. How stressful.

I did pump when I was going out or if my mom or husband wanted to give him a bottle and he was fine with it, but he loved nursing and it's funny, he is now four and when he needs comfort, he twirls his hair like he did when he was an infant and he rubs my neck. He's never been a thumb sucker and he never had a favorite blanket...just me and that is a problem when he has to be away.

I loved nursing and I am so glad that I did it, but I know how you feel being a cow!!!! You feel like you are constantly milking yourself.
