I was wondering the difference between what people would call a "stomach bug", and just eating something bad.
How do the symptoms vary, etc??

My doctor told me that when people are vomiting, diarrhea and fever they think they have the stomach bug but could have food poisoning that the symptoms are the same. Actually I read about that to in Readers Digest.
Now when you ate something bad and you are deydrating from having the symptoms, it could be from the flu.
In 2004 my BIL was sick, severe vomiting (projectile), diarrhea, feeling really bad. My sister took him to the hospital and they hooked him up to a IV and gave him gravol. They thought it was food poisoning because he was really ill. Test came back later that confirmed he had the Norwalk virus. We think he caught it when he was on the plane from Ottawa to Toronto. He wasn't anywhere else and then bang he got it.
