in my bathroom. We have 2 full bathrooms. I have no idea what happened but I have water coming out from the bottom of my toilet in my floor. I have been in the bathroom with towels and a shop vac trying to soak of this nasty water...UGH! It even backed up in my tub.

I want to throw all the towels away and the toys in the tub. YUCK

I am kind of nervous that I am going to get sick! (No turds came up THANK GOD!)

I'm so sorry that happened to you!

Firstly, I'm not sure whereabouts you live- so I cannot advise you on any specific people to call, but if you do a search on theinternet, there are some pretty comprehensive help guides with numbers to call.

Here's a good one I found, with advice on how to clean it up too- http://www.pgh2o.com/docs/Sewer_Backs_Up.pdf

Hope it gets fixed!

You'll be OK! Call a septic company or plumber or soemthing that's sucha pain int he butt!

I used to work at a sewer and drain place (in the office lol) for a couple of months and I was always paranoid that the guys would get sick but they never did. My boiling point was when the boss brought in the tube thing w/ the camera on it to test it out IN THE OFFICE! UGH! This is gross but there was decay of soem sort on it and I freaked for a fw days that I was "exposed" to soemthing. I was fine. My point to this is you will be fine. Especially since nothing ... yucky came out.

I am still waiting for the plumber to get here.

That bathroom is "out or order." I am feeling better today though! I took a shower yesterday after we cleaned what we could and scrubbed! I felt MUCH better after that.

That just happened to me! On my birthday. I totally freaked out.
Water all over the floor. Back up of who knows what in the tub.
Our septic tank was being invided with roots and we had to take
them out and then it was fixed. I was sooo freaking scared of
getting sick from the possible pooh containmination. I made my
boyfriend scrub everything and disinfect. I'm still kind of scared,
since he did the cleaning and not germophob me. But its
working fine now. How are you holding up? I mean I started
thinking about it getting on our feet and being trekked in the
house, and into the bed, and every where. I did keep the towel
I used to dry the floor. I washed it with HOT HOT HOT water. Let
me know how you are.
I love Sam

Yep, same thing here. Tree roots are invading our sewer. It was fixed today though.

I had water about 1 to 2 inches deep in my bathroom. YUCK, ICK, YUCK!

I am going to bleach that bathroom down!

Be careful with the bleach since you are pregnant. It is such a strong smell and in such a closed in space. I hate that it happened to you, but just to make you feel better...the poop had been so watered down and urine is sterile, so I think even if there was a chance of getting sick, it would only be from not washing your hands and I am certain that you do wash well.
