Boyfriend sick

I don't know what to do.


He said he was trying not to throwup last night, feels worse this morning and has a sore throat. He says he hasn't thrown up, but he feels horrible.


I don't know what to do. I'm so scared.

It's probably a cold. I know I am getting one right now (caught it from being in the hospital. Try having acold with an incision in your abdomin, I can't sneeze or cough) and it started out with a sore throat and that nausous feeling in your stomach from all of the drainage. I will bet that that is why he felt like v*. Just stay away from him, and don't get his cold!! Be strong, I am sure that is all it is.

Michele, I haven't been on in awhile, how did the surgery go?

Do you live with him? Just remember to clean, dont sleep in the
same bed, wash your hands, and if he has a sore throat I bet its
some kind of cold or even a flu if he feels horriable. Is he
saying his stomach hurts? I had a cold a week ago and it made
me feel n* and I had d* from all the mucus and stuff. How are
you holding up? How is he feeling? Better I hope. Remember
you need to eat to keep your strength and sleep too.

Thanks for asking babygap...There were complications during the surgery, so what was supposed to be a 3hr surgery turned out to be a 7hr one!! They weren't life threatening complications, just unexpected obstacles. It was a very difficult recovery, I guess when I came out of the recovery rm andmy fam got to see me, I was so white and pale, my mom started crying. But I never did v*!! Even though I felt horrible. But everyday is getting better, I can get up from bed on my own now, and walk around a little more everyday. Slowly but surely I will be back to normal. Only thing that sucks is that I got 3 incisions on my stomach, and they will be ugly scars. But thanks for asking!

We don't live together. He went to work this morning, so he can't be that bad. I on the other hand feel like garbage. I feel like I got hit by a truck all of a sudden. Huge headache, achey, tired, blah.

The sore throat rules out the sv. He is either getting a terrible cold, has influenza or strep. If it was a sv, he would have been v** by now.

Strep is going around where I live and it is starting to freak me out. I have never had it before and I have a cold/ flu bug right now with a sore throat.

Strep isn't much of a big deal- makes you feel icky and can make you spike a fever, but gets cleared up quite quickly once diagnosed. You can tell it's different from a run-of-the-mill sore throat due to puss in the throat (almost like mucous- can make your mouth water and feel like you have to 'hork'), and swollen glands (although at times the flu can make your glands swell because you're body is trying to fight it off). I've had it a few times, and can definitely tell it apart from a regular sore throat.

Not to sound gross, but I get puss pockets in my throat almost everytime I get sick.

Also, I know that when I get strep I can barely swallow water. However, it'll clear up pretty fast, I had a throat swab done for it once but becauseof my gag reflex i actually pulled the swab out of my throat before it was done, so the test came back negative. We later found out that it was actually positive, but i just stayed home for two days and then just had a tiny sore throat.


I hope that your bf is okay now, crazybeautiful! It seems to me, like everyone said, that it's just some sort of cold. I hope that you feel better as well!

Well I'm hoping it's just a cold/flu thing and we'll both be over it soon.
