interested. I was thinking that we could maybe start a recipe thread and post some of our favorite and easy recipes on here. I figured it's something to do to get our minds off of other things. If you guys think that this is stupid, just let me know, and we will not do it. I just thought it would be different. I'm a beginner cook, so if anyone has any good recipes, post them. What do you guys think?

I would love some help! I am not a good cook and would love to get better! I am making lasagna tonight for my boyfriend. That's about the only thing I can make! Haha! Edited by: harmonygirl72

Great idea! I have a really simple and delicious recipe for Carrot and Coriander soup, I've been making it every week since the start of this year it tastes so good! I'll post that if you like, although the recipe has UK measures - for those of you in US will that be a problem or can you easily convert? Actually I'll have a look for a good on-line conversion chart and post the link!

    Oooh I love to bake!

I just made Hummingbird Cake from a recipe I got from Family Circle Magazine. Very YUMMY and pretty easy to make. I will post it as soon as I find the issue I got it from lol.

In the mean time here is a really good really easy peanutbutter cookie recipe I got years ago from my aunt! My b/f actually stole it from me when he was at my house while I made them one time lol.

    Here it is:

    Ingredients:

1 cup peanutbutter (recipe calls for chunky but I use creamy lol either way is good)

    1 cup sugar

    1 egg

    1/2 tbs vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowlstir peanutbutter and sugar together. In a separate, small bowl or cup mix egg and vanilla together. Combine the vanilla/egg mix w/ the peanubutter/sugar mix and stir together. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-30 minutes (the oven is the key, mine take about 20 minutes but I've had it take 15 and up to 30 in different ovens) They are done when the bottom is set, light brown and/or a toothpick comes out clean. Makes about a dozen.
