It certainly helps to come here and share your thoughts and worries with people who can totally empathize. You don't ever have to feel alone, there are so many friendly and supportive people here always willing to offer help.
The one thing that has given my emetophobia less power is being open about it and not bottling things up. I always thought nobody would understand how I felt and that I was the only person who acted so bizarrely over something as simple as vomit. I remember the feeling when I discovered it wasn't just me who felt this way (hurray - I wasn't mad afterall!!!)and that this phobia is infact quite common! Now I no longer feel embarassed to admit how much anything to do with vomit bothers me, most of my friends and family know about it, and it helps.
