to stay positive, but it is so hard!!!!

My daughter has still complained about her tummy today, although not near as bad as she did yesterday and the day before. She has had some diarrhea off and on too.

Then, just a few minutes ago, one of her classmates moms calls to invite my daughter to the sleep over her daughter is having tomorrow night. I told her about my daughter being sick and she proceeds to tell me about her niece being so sick with it they had to put her in the hospital.

I am terrified of my younger ones getting it, or me, or hubby. Im also scared because my husband has to work this weekend, and I will be all alone.

Im not gonna let my daughter go to the sleep-over, even though it does break my heart to see her upset because I wont let her, but I know how I would feel if someone let their child go that had been sick.

I absolutely LOATHE this time of year. I wish I could just go lock myself away.

    Is it summer yet?!?!?!?!?

Tell her the family has plans and then "create" some plans for the family tomorrow night, even if it is Family Night - with pizza, a movie, and some popcorn at the house.

You are not a bad mom. You are doing the best you can. If anything, use tomorrow night as a night home with the kids. Cook something together or order take-out. Relax and enjoy each other.

I have been reading all of your posts about your daughter not feeling well. With the stomach aches and the diarreah. When I was in second grade, I felt the same way for about a month with horrible stomach pains. I think that I even got sick a couple of times. Anyway, it was a parasite that I had gotten from drinking some contaminated water from our well. You might ask a doctor if that could be the problem. Also, I turned a little yellow, so be on the lookout for that, too.

Leigh, Tyler came home from his dads on Friday. No sooner he walks in he says my stomach doesn't feel good. I asked him why? He said I don't know, it just feels wierd. Ok he has been complaining of this since Monday I think. He seems fine, he isn't pale and he hasn't had any diarrhea since he has been here. I am getting to know Tyler and being sick. He will say he feels sick but holy crap he is in the fridge eating and eating. Today is Sunday and he hasn't said anything to me. I think he may have other issues going on, about his father. Tyler called me on the Sunday to talk about his dad, so I think that may have something to do with it. Maybe he does have a bug. I remember about 4-5 years ago, Tyler wasn;t feeling well at all, always complaining of his stomach. This was in May. His stepmom (not anymore) said he probably has the flu that she was feeling nausea for a week. Well Tyler began to feel better and then I caught it. 3-4 straight days of intense nausea. Maybe this is a bug that your daughter has.
It is so hard to figure it out because there are so many bugs out there at this time of year

Ok today is Tuesday and he is still complaining. Woke up this morning and said his stomach is bugging him, he said it could be from the oranges? He has been eating like maybe 7 of them in the past 3 days. How is your daughter doing Leigh?
