Hi everyone! You are probablythe only people on earth who can really understand what it's like to find this group the first time. My friend fond it forme today and I am so relieved.

I have been phobic of v* since I was a small child. I've been dealing with this about 25 years now and NOTHING I have tried has helped. Now I have 2 small children (4 and 18 months) and other stressers in my life and it's out of control. My 18 onth old had the sv* last Friday and my 4 year old had it yesterday and today. I am praying thatI already had it but did not v*. And hopefully my hubby won't get it.

I am just so relieved to know that I am not alone in this and that my phobia is legitimate and other people have the same problem that I do. No one I know personally has it, at leastto the same extent that I do. It's bad for me.

Thans for hosting this site and letting me participate. I feel it's a blessing.

welcome to the site!!!hopefully it'll be as beneficial to you as it is to me! as for the sv* that your kids have, as long as you've washed your hands and disinfected the things they're prone to touching, you should be fine. usually when little kids have sv's it's because they're immune systems are still maturing. typically, adult immune systems are strong enough to fight off viruses before the sign of the first symptom. i hope your children get better soon! Thanks for your affirmation. It's 1:30 a.m. here and I was just at the drug store buying lysol, disenfectant wipes and pepto for my 4 yo. THis is so gross.

Off to try to sleep now. I'm sure I will dream about v*

Hi Schleemer, welcome to the site. I have two kids and it's awful when they're sick - I too found this site one night when both were throwing up. Now I'm hooked! It's a great place for support, whether your kids, you, or anyone else in your family are ill.

Sorry you've had to deal with a sv in the house. If it helps at all, I've never caught a sv off my kids...except mild d* once, so if you keep your hands well scrubbed and spray the disinfectant around, you've got a really good chance of staying healthy.

Hope to see you here again soon!
