I have to leave for the dentist in 5 minutes. I am nervous about it being sv season, that the dentist will have just worked on someone with a sv, then stick his hands in my mouth. I know they use clean gloves everytime and all of that, but I am getting nervous. I can't cancel because I am already 4 months late for my cleaning and I've heard that your teeth need "special" care when you're pregnant, so I really should go. I hope I don't catch anything there! I'm not actually scared of the dentist, just the possibility of getting a sv from them!

You'll be fine! As you said they use gloves and they wash their hands. All of the tools are steralized plus how many people go tot he dentist when they have been v*? People generally look for any excuse not to go so if they even had a stomach ache or bit of n* they probably cancel. Hpe this helps, you will be OK!

All I had was a cleaning - no cavities - YAY! My dentist made a prediction about the baby - he said a girl, born 7/4 weighing 6 lbs 1 oz. I'll have to see if he's right!

Jenneth - I had braces when I was in 7th grade. It really wasn't that bad. They were a little sore everytime I went in to have them tightened, but I really didn't have any problems. You're right though, you actually end up brushing your teeth more with braces so you don't have any embarrassing moments with food stuck in there so they are probably cleaner than normal!
