I do not know why, but I have just had a really bad panic attack. It is the first time anything like it has happened. I have had little ones in the past, but this was different. I could not breathe and started hyperventalating really badly. It lasted for ages until I nearly passed out.

I do not know what started it. I am really tired today and have not slept well for a couple of weeks, My husband and son have been ill(flu not stomach related). This evening my daughter has started with a temperature and cough so I am anxious about all my ill family. I have also upset my husband by keep asking him how he feels. He says I smother him, but I can not help it.

My husband did not handle my panic attack too well. He thinks I am losing the plot. I really do not like it when my husband is annoyed with me as we have so little time together with his job and I do love him so much. I feel so strange and panicky now, scared to go to bed incase it happens again.

    Thanks simplyMe and Violet.

I wish it had not happened in front of my husband. He just cannot understand how I am feeling at the moment and as soon as I try and explain he changes the subject or says I need help. Maybe he's right. I just feel so alone at the moment. Usually I can talk to my mum but since she is having chemotherapy at the moment I think she has enough to deal with. Thank goodness for this site.

I have tried sipping water in fact I have drunk 5 glasses of water as my mouth feels so dry. I think I am calming down a bit now though. Thank you once again for your support.

    Thanks SimplyMe

I think I may have been a bit dehydrated. I have a bit of a sore throat so hope I am not getting what the rest of my family have.

My husband is very good and will do anything for me but when it comes to supporting me when I am feeling low he just does not seem able to do it. After both my children were born I had a really emotional time and my husband just could not cope with it all. He likes everything to run smoothly otherwise it annoys him so much.

Hey Curly, how are you feeling. Look, you've had a tough time lately, not just with your kids being ill, but your mum too. You also have to deal with alot on your own when your husband is away, no wonder your nerves are fraught. You have got a massive amount on your plate. If you haven't been sleeping too well then this will really effect you, physically and mentally.

I'm so sorry your husband doesn't understand you...my husband was the same, he was brilliant round the house but just not good with me at all...it distanced us beyond repair in the end. I'd have panic attacks at night in bed and I'd lie there shaking. He just couldn't cope and thought I was weird. All I wanted him to do was talk me out of it, or something! But I got nothing.

Anyway, the support is here if you need it. If you're on MSN then add me to your [email protected]'m happy to chat if you need to anytime.

    Try and relax OK.

    Thanks Suze.

Well everything seems a bit better today. My son is still not too well and had a bad night as he kept waking up coughing. My daughter is fine. My husband is almost back to normal and has actually been a bit nicer to me today. He has even taken my daughter out whilst my son is sleeping so I can have a rest.I think I am just really tiredas I keeplaying awake at night worrying about absolutely everything. Normally I can pull myself together but for some reason it is much harder at the moment.

Thank you for your support. It really does help.

I have registered for MSN but can not work out how to use it.
