Hi.

Is anyone here on Lorazepam, or have you been in the past. I have been taking it lately to help with my anxiety and nausea. Anyone on here feel like it works/doesn't work? I tend to think it is ok, but that may just be a placebo effect, as in "I took the pill so I should feel better" and then I do...

And I am thinking about going on zoloft to control the same thing (anxiety, nasea, emet, etc.) Is anyone on Zoloft? Is it any good? I am desperate to hear about Zoloft, because I really need to get on something to get myself in check.... it's out of control.

Any thoughts or ideas would really help me a lot, Thanks!

Lorazepam didn't work for me. In factnone of the Valium family have any affect on me. I use Xanax when I need it (I use about 20 pills in 4-6 months).

I took one pill of zoloft once and was nauseous until it was out of my system, problem being I don't know if it was anxiety over taking the pill or the actual pill. Since bex takes it an is ok i'm leaning towards anxiety especially since it was the lowest dose. It's worth a try and won't make you v*!

Hi, I took Zoloft for about 3 years (during pregnancy also) and it was fine. I am now on Celexa because Zoloft sort of stopped being effective.
I take Lorazepam very sparingly, maybe twice a month or when I am worried or can't sleep. I take .5 and it sort of "takes the edge off." No side effects that are unpleasant. Just be careful not to get too used to them, all the anti anxiety drugs can be addictive.

I'm on Zoloft too and have been for almost four months now. I have found it very good, no side effects, no n* or v*. I can go about my daily activities without any problems. I can highly recommend it too and it has been very effective in managing my emetophobia (providing there are no sv's floating around LOL!).

I have lorazapam and I find that works ok. If I am really nervous instead of swallowing I will put it under my tongue to make it work faster; the other pills in that family is ativan which goes under your tongue. Those ativans work quick but be careful you take too much and you are in lala land.

I am back on zoloft for the second time in my life -- first time I started at 15 because of this fear and other anxieties, and stayed on for five years and it worked great. For those five years, I barely thought of v* or got anxious. I'm 22 now, and started back on it again 2 months ago after a BAD "relapse" I would call it, of my emet. It seems to be working, but my fear also seems alot stronger than when I waslittle --But, I am seeing a def. improvement -- still do worry about v*, but it'snot controlling my life as it was before.

I have also been given a prescription for lorazepam to take as needed only, because as others have posted,it can become very additictive. I have taken it a few times when I was feeling really panicky, and it seemed to help, but it put me to sleep in about 20 minutes (which can be a good thing -- bad if it's during the dayand you need to be productive though)

As always though, meds are different with each individual. But, both have been fine for me. I hope you can find something out there that helps you!
