I am getting ready to go to work, but I am feeling nervous and need to vent before I leave!!!

I got up this morning and fixed my girls cinnamon rolls that they have been asking for days for me to make. Well, my husband got up and said, "These smell good, but the smell isn't doing wonders for my stomach." He is feeling sick!! And he fed Aidan his cereal this morning, and he's snuggling Haley on the couch and now I am leaving both little ones with him and I won't be back for 4 hours!!!! What if he's sick and passes it on to them, he works all weekend and I will be all alone to take care of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

He may not actually be sick. Maybe his stomach was upset for some other reason. Or maybe he just couldn't handle the strong smell when he first got up. My dad used to get up and make bacon and eggs every morning for himself. I would wake up and smell them and they made me so n*! I was never sick though, I just hated the strong smell that early in the morning. I love bacon and eggs too!

How is he doing now? Is he still complaining about his stomach? How long ago did he say that? Has he tried eating anything yet today? Try not to worry about the kids until you know if he is really sick or not. Even if he is, they may not get it. Keep us posted on how he (and you) are doing!

How are you doing now Donna? I agree with sillygirl maybe the smell turned him off. There can be so many reasons. I hope your day at work was good. Well girlfriend, let us know how he is and especially how you are doing!!

Hey Donna, sorry this is late. Some people the sweet smell upon waking is too much or ya know how sometimes you wake up feeling less than fresh? It oculd just be his stomach adjusting to being awake. Also doesn't your hubby had stomach issues (non contagious) anyhow? It could be one of his problems making him feel that way. Besides I have read billions of times that the sv isn't contagious until symptoms appear and if he isn't v*ing or ahving d* than he shouldn't be contagious. Anyhow hope he is feeling better and that youa re too!

Well, he felt sick all morning while I was at work, then in the middle of the night last night Haley threw up in bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have read that SVs can just cause nausea w/ no v'ing or whatever, I wonder if they had a little mini SV or something, Haley slept all night after Greg gave her a bath, woke up, ate some dry cereal & a cup of water, then a little later had some Teddy Grahams and some white grape juice--she didn't v* again, she's just been a little sluggish today!!! I am still Lysoling everything & made Greg wash her sheets & blankets by themselves!!!!

I hope they're both feeling better now, Donna, and I hope you're doing ok, too!

So your daughter Haley v*d but your husband didn't, and just felt a bit off? It could have just been a mild sv*, or maybe they both ate something that didn't agree with them. I guess kids immune systems aren't as strong as adults, so maybe whatever it was just affected her worse than your hubby!

How is everything now Donna? You can have a stomach virus with the nausea and no vomiting or vomiting. Maybe your husband had the nausea and your little girl pick it up and had the vomiting. It sounds like she is keeping the food down. I had the stomach flu with full blown nausea for 3-4 days, no vomiting.
Sounds like a short lived flu, not like the ones where you are sick for 12 hours or longer.
    Hope all is better.
