Tomorrow is my 21 st birthday, now I dont really drink. I will have a
sip of something to taste and thats about it. I dont really like bitter
things. But anyways. Im nervous because i have been sick all week
wih a cold. I hate going out and being around people when im sick
for fear of the other sick. Well yesterday i had a round D*. It was
kind of out of the blue, and it scared me, but i think it was cuz i ate
ground hamberger, and i dont usually eat meat, and especially not
greesy meat. but i still dont feel completely "regular" and im sick. i
htink that i always get a little d* with colds because of alll the muscus
i swallow. Im scared of getting sick while already being sick. Does
anyone else notice they have bathroom problems with a cold?
I love Sam

When I get a cold my stomach gets all out of wack, I don't feel like eating at ALL and all I want to do is sleep. So I usually take a bunch of NyQuil and sleep it off. It sounds like you are just suffering from a cold. I think that if you were going to be sick you would have V*ed by now. Happy birthday...I hope you start feeling better for it!

You'll most likely be fine, just be hygienic and careful. (Oh, and yes, I have bathroom problems with or without a cold, had some wicked problems yesterday out of the blue, but turned out fine).

I used to be a bartender for many years, and if you want to sip at a drink that isn't nasty and not too strong, try a Bailey's on the rocks. It's basically cream and brandy. Also, if you want something pepperminty that is relaxing on the stomach, I would suggest a creme de menthe and soda water. Also, just an FYI (this one is not a sipping drink, rather a bartender "remedy") whenever one of my co-workers would fee sick to his/her stomach, I would have them chug a cup of bitters mixed with soda water. Makes you burp, but seems to do a good job with calming upset stomachs.

Hope that helps! Happy Birthday, hope it's a great experience!Edited by: 1987porsche944
Take small account of might, wealth and fame, for they soon pass and are forgotten. Instead, nurture love within you and and strive to be a friend to all. Truly, compassion is a balm for many wounds.

If you're taking any meds for your cold, that may have caused the D*.

As for the cold/stomach thing, I'm also just getting over a cold and the second day of it I had a d*-like experience (won't go into detail about that, just take my word for it lol) also I had almost no appetite. I remember one day I ate a piece of toast at about 9 AM and didn't want to eat again until about 10 PM. I think I almost passed out too that second day, but I'm sure it had something to do with taking DayQuil on an empty stomach. Be sure to eat something with those cold meds or they can make you feel horrible. Eat lots of chicken noodle soup!

I turned 21 last year andonly drank onceuntil about 6 weeks ago on a family vacation. I had TWO beers and my boyfriend says I was "high-stepping" LOL! Anyway, about 6 hours later I woke up with massive d*, which threw me into a panic attack and I was thinking "oh no, I'm sick away from home with all these people!" I didn't know a hangover could give you d* so I was sure I had a sv. Apparently I am not made to drink beer, but I do fine with liquor. So be careful if you're like me and don't drink a lot!

Have a happy birthday!!

I think I'm a little late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope that you're okay now, and that (if your birthday has passed, i'm bad with dates and times) that everything went well and how you wanted it to!
