Well, this is my first real "scare" of the winter. It seems the SV is all around me.

I had been in a co-worker's office yesterday and used her computer and talked to her for quite a while. After spending most of the afternoon in her office, she tells me that her husband had a SV over the weekend. She said he didn't have *v* just stomach cramps and diarrhea. So, I was thinking maybe it wasn't a SV. Well, she is out sick today--I'm not sure what she is sick with but I can take a good guess. I haven't been feeling great today either, so now I'm really worried.

Hubby sent one of his employees home on Monday with a SV, too, and he said he felt nauseated this morning. So, I feel like it is coming at me in every direction. I am praying that I don't get it--now I'm really scared. I have been taking all of my usual precautions, but I just have to wonder if I was exposed yesterday when I was around my co-worker!

I wouldnt have thought so - she probably didnt become ill until the night time when you wernt in contact with her. I think you probably feel nauseous through worry!

maybe she is just home taking care of her hubby, and you werent around her when she was contagious, so count her out as a possible threat.

as for your hubby, it could be anything. keep an eye on him and see how he feels in a few hours.

cross your fingers. It might be a good idea to camp out on the couch tonight ( I do this anytime my boyfriend is sick with anything, just cause being sick sucks)

What area are you in? I'm in NYC/NJ and nearly everyone I know has ended up with a sv since between Thanksgiving and now. Except me. I am positive it's because I am much more careful with hygiene. I'm actually pretty shocked (and happy) that I didn't get it because all my co-workers and friends have had it, and I had contact with them all basically right before it happened. I doubt it's airborne, so you should be fine with diligence.

Sorry to hear about all that though, I've been dealing with it on and off all season, I can't wait for the spring!

Well, my co-worker came back yesterday and it sounds as if she caught her husband's SV. But, she did not *v*. She said she was nauseated but after she took a Phenergan, she felt better. She said she had terrible diarrhea though. She is the type of employee (like me) that doesn't miss work unless she is REALLY sick.

I hope that I am "in the clear" now. I was around her on Tuesday and today is Friday, so hopefully I'm going to be fine.

Jess how is your husband now? Did he ever get sick.....i hope that he is fine....so you won't be worrying anymore about yourself......don't you hate it when this happens....my baby is home sick today and he was out yesterday too...he does not have a sv...but a horrible cold...and i was just so scared to send him today being that he is already sick...and i didn't want him catching anything else while his immnue system is weak already......i felt sorry for him but he felt good enough to sit and play xbox 360 all day......he was so funny....he was saying he wanted to go back to school today so he could go outside and play...well i had to explain to him that all though he might have felt better...i would not want him going back to school still sick...and spreading his germs to other kids making them sick....that was not the thing to do......and he understood and was ok with it....Sorry i am rambling here...hope you are doing fine and that things are getting better for you...talk soon...K
