I am so sorry you and your family are going through this!! I know how it is--the waiting to see if your kids are going to get sick SUCKS!!!! Just think, though, if your daughter gets sick, you don't have to face the panic of preventing yourself getting it while you're taking care of her! (I am trying to give you a positive in themidst ofa negative!) Hang in there!!!

You won't get it again...though the three day period between you and the others does look more like it's a virus than fp. There's no gaurantee your daughter will get it, she probably would have had it along with the others anyway. Just keep disinfecting and she may well be fine.

You're over it though so at least as far as your health goes, you can relax. Well done on getting through it though.

Sorry to hear you and your family have been ill. Don't worry, as Suze said, you will not get it again, you will be immune to that particular virus (it does sound like a virus and not food poisoning) now. Hope you are all back to full health again soon

Brina- You have done a really good job with handling this...you should be proud of yourself for going through it and being as strong as you are. You will not get it again, I am sure of that. Its like when you get a bad cold, you don't get another one right after. Your experience gives us hope that we could get through it if it happens too.You should be really proud of yourself.

Sorry that you and your family have been sick. You got through it...YAY! I know you felt bad but you survived your worst fear and itssounds like you did a great job.

I agree that it sounds like a stomach virus and not food poisoning.

You wont get it again. My kids pediatrician told me that you have like a 6 week temporary immunity. Although kids have the possibility of getting it again.

    You will be fine...

    Brina,

The two days between your vomiting and your husband and son coming down with it makes me almost certain it was the Norwalk virus. Two days is the incubation period for Norwalk. Food poisoning usually comes on rather quickly and does not spread easily from person to person.

    Hope everyone is better now.
