I think as long as you didn't touch your face or share utensils w/ them that you should be fine. Also proper handwashing helps.

Sounds like a food thing to me. Chances of two people getting a sv in the same house at the same time, is rare. Usually one gets it, then someone else. I think they probably ate something that wasn't cooked properly.

If you haven't come down with it yet, chances are that you won't. Most of the time it's 2-3 days, although I have heard it being up to 5. Not normally, though.

    Take care!

Last year my son caught a s/v at school. It was a Thursday evening when I picked him up and the employees alerted me there was a s/v going around in the daycare. Friday morning he woke up and started v*; this lasted for 4 days. On Tuesday morning I woke up with chills and was extremely weak. By Tues. night I had horrible d* but, thankfully, I did not v*. So that was about 4 days after he caught it that I got it. I was also around him the whole time he was sick, cleaning up the v*, which he did ALL over the house. (Amazingly, I didn't run for the hills)

I would say if you still haven't caught it by Wen.-Thurs. Just try to relax and not stress. I know these times of waiting stinks. Keep us posted and take care:O)
