Hi all, I posted about two weeks ago when I had that tummy bug and thankfully I didn't V, just got the runs.

Anyway now I have the flu. Its very rare I get the flu, just colds but this time I am feverish and have had to stay in for the past two days, I am off work on leave anyway.

The thing is I am getting worried about it turning to V. Before Xmas someone at work had been off with the flu and he said his went to his stomach and made him V. His wife caught the same thing. I've heard of a few people Ving with this flu. My friend has told me that I had the tummy bug two weeks ago so that part of it has gone and now I'll just get the cold part. So far my tummy has felt OK though I've only felt like eating soup and toast but I am still worried that I might start with the stomach problems any time now and I can't relax. Its even harder being stuck in the flat on my own. I felt a bit better when my friend came round last night but when I'm on my own I panic. I've been like this since Tuesday night, when am I going to feel normal again. I hate it when I can't get out and visit my Mum and do things I like to do. I live in the UK, has anyone else had this flu and how long does it last and does it always turn into V? I just can't relax at all.

Thanks for that violet, sorry I haven't replied before but couldn't get on the Net at home before now due to some flipping virus alert popping up all the time.

I do feel better in myself now, just full of cold but the fever has gone and my appetite is slowly returning so I am less worried about V as time goes on, its always on the onset of an illness I think 'What if I'm gonna V' and it just scares me like crazy.

Just be careful with the coughing. I have a bad habit of gagging when I cough, which makes me nearly V*. The flu is horrible and the last time I had it, I slept for a week - ate tons of mashed potatos - and then coughed for 2 weeks.

Hope you feel better soon! *hugs*

Sorry to hear you feel lousy.

I would guess maybe you already had the stomach part of that particular flu. However, there are different strains and maybe you just have the flu now. Whatever it is I hope you feel better soon. You most likely will not v* if you have not already.
