yuck..mom is sick

first let me say what a comfort it is to know that i'm not the only person in the world who fears v* so much!!!!


i woke up today and my mom has a really, really bad SV. and what's even worse is that she felt fine up until it happened, so i won't even know if it's coming, and it seems that i always get sick when someone in my house has an SV. i've already disinfected the phones, door knobs, light switches, everything! but is it true that germs are most easily spread before the person gets sick? i have been pacing around my house all morning. i don't know what to do! the thought of being sick makes me want to cry. if anyone has any comforting words, send them my way. i'm a wreck right now!! i'm only 18 and in my second semester of college as a nursing major (go figure), and i transferred to a commuter school recently because i hated being away. if i would have stayed upstate at binghamton, i'd be gone already and i wouldn't be worrying! ugh!

is it possible that it is food poisoning instead of a sv? Just try and take deep breaths. You should be fine as long as you keep your distance and continue to disinfect everything.

i don't think it's food poisoning..she said that a woman she works with left early on monday and was out on tuesday, so maybe she caught whatever her co-worker had. i feel terrible that i can't even worry about her, i'm just too worried about getting sick! this is a terrible phobia to have! lol thank you for your reply i will definitely take your advice
