Do you all think that I should get some antianxiety drugs for the times when I have to deal with my kids v'ing?? Do they halp the panicky terror filled feelings go away?? I am seriously considering this. I wonder if it would help me handle it better so that I don't pass this phobia on to the next generation!!

I take xanax at night because that is the worst time for me(anxiety), and it does help a little bit.

I'd also suggest getting a script. for compazine.I Don't take it-but it just helps me to know that just in case I DO get IT, they are there.

Beware that anti-anxiety meds often make you sleepy, which might make dealing with a sick child even harder for you - considering you might not be completely "there". Talk with your doc about it though because there might be something you can take that wouldn't slow your reaction time down.
