...and for some reason I couldn't get to this sight...it just said that the URL could not be found...I was in a panic.

It started Saturday morning at 1:30a.m and went on every couple hours until Sunday morning at about 8:00 a.m.Plus my husband is in retail so he had to work all weekend and I was stuck cleaning up after her the entire time. Now I'm terrified that one of my other 2 kids will get it(or myself and husband for that matter)...I don't think that I can handle it if someone else gets sick. Luckliy we had a warm weekend, so I had all the windows opened and I kept my other 2 kids outside as much as I could. I cleaned the entire weekend, bleached, lysoled and washed everything!! Even if it didn't come in contact with her. But now I know that it is going to be a VERY long week, with no sleep for me just waiting for someone else to wake up sick. I just need some reassurance, I know this is talked about all the time on here, but how long is someone contagious for? And does anyone know if the germs are airborne or if you can just get it by putting the germ in your mouth. I think I made them all wash there hands, and use hand sanitizer like 50 times, my daughter actually said, you are obsessing over using that stuff and making us wash our hands.

aww.. sounds aweful... but at least you didn't v*. It can be hard to tell how long someone is contagious for... so just be safe than sorry... I usually give a week.. and I have those clorox wipes and stuff...

we were all s* this week.. sorry you had such a lousey time.
Friendship is like pee in your pants.... everyone can see it.... but only YOU can feel it\'s true warmth...

Usually the incubation is 24-48 hours. But can be longer. UGH! I am sorry your daughter was sick. It sounds like you took all precautionary measures so you should be ok.

This site must have been down all weekend. I was getting the same messages.

I know how it is to worry now but pat yourself on the back that you took care of one sick child and you can take care of the others if they get sick too. You've done all you can do in santizing. Sounds to me like you did just well! I try and comfort myself that if they get sick it will totally put me at ease for at least a year! That is one good thing about our families getting sick, that feeling of relief once it's over. I hope nobody else gets it but if they do you will be alright - you've just proven that to yourself.

Hang in there and try not to worry too much. Feed them lots of yogurt and cranberry juice

I am so sorry to hear that you had to go through all of tha, especially with the site down--I know, I went through that horror last year, so I can relate!!!
You took all of the necessary precautions, so hopefully the rest of the family will be fine, I always feel a little better when they are sick while everyone else is asleep, so that the others aren't in contact!!

    Keep us posted!!

Hey everyone, thank you all for your reply's...it REALLY does make me feel better!!! So far so good, no one else has caught it and it has been 48 hours since the last v*. I'm still not letting my guard down yet though because 3 years back my middle daughter got the sv* on a Sunday and the rest of the family didn't get it until the following Friday night(granted, my middle & oldestdaughter have a diffrent father and she was sick at his house, and he didn't bother to tell me she was sick, so I didn't take the necessary precautions like I normally would). I'm starting to feel a little bit better, but once next weekend comes I will feel a lot better!!

    Hi ya

I am new to this site and can totally relate to all of you. There just seems to be a constant bug going around doesnt there! It seems rife in the States at the moment, and I thought it was only because it was winter here that the bug is going around! and everyone is stuck indoors all of the time with no air/windows open etc etc.

I hate this time of year so much but if I really thkink about it, someone somewhere will always say there is a bug going around so you live in constant fear dont you.

I cant stand travelling on trains and buses this time of year although I have to to go to work but I dont sit in any carriages that have toilets in them because in my mind anyone that feels sick will sit in a carriage where the toilet is and I dont sit near anyone that looks ill!

You did really well coping as you did - and try not to worry it is usually 48 hours max! I know that feeling of counting the hours and not sleeping worrying etc etc!

    Neesy
