yes purple I have this I have this quite alot actually..

I have acid reflux, a somach ulcer and just generally alot of acid in my stomach.

This is usually connected to pannic attacks or just generally being stressed can give you alot of acid in your stomach.

I take gaviscon,anti-acid tablets eating yougharts and bread helps as well.

I really hope that this helps you even in the slightest.

anything else you need im here

I have had this since I was an infant, and take Prilosec twice a day to keep it under control, it really helps, and they sell it over the counter now, give it a try for a week and if you feel better, then you'll know!

I just don't like to take medications, but something says something is wrong with my stomach. I can remember waking up in the middle of the night for years with acid all over my throat and panicing - I called them "acid washes" because it felt my vocal chords had been wrinsed.

I burp all the time, a sore throat and constant sinus problems (which I didn't know could possibly be related to my stomach until I read something about that today), constant nausea, chest pain when eating/ drinking, etc... The burping is disgusting and I didn't know that all of my saliva could also be caused by the stomach stuff.

It's a safe medication, and I don't know anybody that has gotten side effects from it. I hate to say it, but if you are going to complain and then not do anything about it, then there isn't much anybody can help you with their complaint. I don't 'like' taking medications either, but I definitely would not be here if I hadn't and I've been on them since the day I was born and will be since the day I die-- I'm not against things to make life more comfortable either.

You could try changing your diet or holistic stuff first, but I've never had a lot of faith in that.

Then what holistic options are there for me?I don't take medications when I have infections either - seriously, it took 10 weeks for me to fight the infection in my lungs on my own with only a partial dose of one medication at the very start. I don't take medicine for anything -- not even pepto for d*.

I'm extremely sensitive to medication and I don't believe in using it in my body. I believe if others want to use medications ,then that is their choice. I don't believe in using medication in my body except in an absolute life and death situation.

Seriously though... are their any dietary and or holistic options for me to try? I don't have insurance and cannot afford to get medical assistance for this.

Must be nice to have that option, I envy you.

You could see a chiropractor, they help a lot... accupuncture would help greatly.

Here is a resource I found on diet...

I suffer from GERD and Barrett's Esophogas. I just recently found out that I suffered from it over the summer (I waw feeling really sick and having bad heart burn and had an endoscopy). For me, I take Achiphex. I am not aware of any other treatment methods, but I know that avoiding certain foods that may provoke heartbearn would be a good non--medicinal treatment.

The list of foods they gave me to avoid was:

Chocolate (Hell no for me lol)

Spicy Foods (Another non avoidable for me)

    Anything rich

And here is some other info I found on the net, I hope it's helpful:
