Hey, there's an SV going around my area right now and I was wondering if anyone could tell me all possible ways of avoiding catching it? I reguarly was my hands and stuff but I still want to make it even harder for me to catch it.

    Thanks.

    hi, welcome to the site.

i recommend training yourself never to touch your face. we do
things without thinking, like rub our faces, scratch our lips or
noses...try not to do that so much unless you've just washed your
    hands.

to me, that's the best advice i've heard. then, even if you have
germs on your hands for some reason, they won't enter your body.

Do what your heart tells you to-- even when your fears tell you not to.

    no problem!!

remember that emets are the most careful people in the world (because
of little bits of 'don't touch your face' wisdom we share with each
other lol), and it'll be very hard for you to catch an sv while being
    that careful.

    Hi,

My big thing is not touching things in public. I always wear gloves (not because of the cold, but soI won't have to touch doorknobs and pen pads). I also carry my own pen to sign credit card slips with. Like redapple, I try not to touch my face. I also wash and Purell very thorougly, especiallybefore eating.

Welcome, and good luck! I truly believe as an emet you may be able to avoid the virus.

I never thought of wearing gloves lol. I must find a pair that aren't bright pink or spotty.

The user name has me wondering. Is it emetophobia that you're LYFAO over or is it something else?

Besides hand washing, not touching face, etc., I always think it is good to take lots of vitamin C and to get a good night's sleep. Our immune systems work best when we are well rested.
