Hmm.... if he wasn't v'ing and stuff, I wouldn't be that worried. Just don't share anything with him. I know you live in the NYC area, so him going in your car is probably not an issue... or do you drive?? Those would be the things that I would be careful about. Otherwise, try and have fun!

he was v* wed night... its now saturday. i live north of NYC, so yea i do drive... but i would rather drive then go in his car. he was at work yesterday and the day before, so maybe he's okay by now. he said he ate a bunch of hotdogs with sour crout, do you think that made him v*?

ps, he calls me and says "i was v* last night and i thought of you" hahahaha thats pretty funny

Very nice of him to be honest with you. And understanding too. Sounds like a keeper.

I probably would have still went- it's saturday- he hasn't been sick fora few days....and xmas is looming ever closer. I would have went- but if he started to feel crappy, may have cut the trip short.

Good choice I probably wouldn't go with him either. I don't care if it's not a sv, I mean what if he's in your car and suddenly gets N* and has to V*? I wouldn't take that risk!

YUCK!!! I would skip that shopping trip too, but then again, most SV's don't last that long. Hotdogs are nasty to me anyway, so that would be enough to make me want to V* if I did not mind V*ing. I'm glad you skipped that outing, one less thing to worry about. i did think of something today as I was out shopping...How many people do you think we come into contact with daily that have had a V*ing episode that day, that night before etc.???? the ones we don't know about...like the guy who bags up our groceries, video store people, mailman who handles all our mail and the mailbox handle...and the list goes on. yes, I do think about all of that, but I guess what we don't know for a fact, we deal with better.

You see that's the thing- you can take as many precautions as you deem necessary, but you can't control the world (well, not yet anyway, haha). Chances are you HAVE come in contact with someone who has not been feeling at their best, or is getting over/starting to come down with something at least a few times a week. And in most cases, you don't know about it- and are no worse for the wear. You really can't spend a lot of time obsessing over it- because it is something completely out of your control.

I think Misty mentioned it in another thread....I think it is better to not obsess about "OMG, will I catch something?" but "ok- if I do catch something I'll deal with it- and I'll be fine".

BEX! I was wondering where you've been!!! frankly I was getting a little worried! I would not have gone either. I know ya can't control the world but you can what little you can control, then you should right??? Actually, I would have taken his money and shopped for him, I LOVE TO SHOP! Plus we all know guys hate shopping. Glad to see you're ok!!!!

Well, sounds like as we all know already that handwashing LOTS AND LOTS is the key. It's not like we are ever in close enough contact with strangers for long enough time to catch something they "might" have, so I agree with Amber that it isn't worth worrying over.

I think that its better that you didn't go, because if you had, you probably would have spent a couple of days worrying about it. Sometimes the worry isn't worth it, but I think that Amber is right about not obsessing about it and worrying about all of these things that we can't control. Too bad it is always easier said than done (At least for me) The SV has been going around here for 2 weeks and I have been a nervous wreck about it. I have been in a state of panic and worry for the entire 2 weeks, especially each night.
