it's recently been one year since i stumbled on this site, and i wanted
to thank all of you (those who've been around long enough to remember
us) for the support you've showed to my sister (user bethany) and
I. you guys are great simply for understanding and for offering
encouragement, and i'd love to hear how everyone is doing!

as for me...well, you know it's that time of year again. I went
off meds in may after being on them for 4 years. I don't know if
it's from going off meds, or just because it was not sv season, but I
had a really great summer of extremely little panic and being able to
talk myself out of it when it happened. i still haven't been to a
therapist for this problem and i know that i should...probably this
summer because we're so busy with stuff (juniors in college,
now).

all the best to everyone!!

Hey, it's good to hear from you again!!! I wish it could be summer all year long, because I feel the same as you. I was onPaxil all summer, and I had very little anxiety\panic attacks. Now that I'm off the Paxil, I am back to feeling petrified 24\7. So not cool!! Again, I don't know if it's because of sv season, or no meds. But with all of support here, I'm sure we will all get through it!

Hey! I sent you a pm.. but anyway, summer sounds great! I'm glad that you had a great summer after going off of meds, being able to control your panic is one of the best feelings in the world!

I'm so glad that you're back!

thanks for the replies, guys!!

i missed everyone, and dropped in to read once in awhile, but was
trying to keep my mind of off this as much as possible. i think
we need to do that sometimes.

kellybean, i wondered why you went off paxil? i was on it when i
was in high school and i didn't like it very well (didn't do anything
bad to me, it's just that if i would miss a dose accidentally i would
feel very dizzy, and so i felt like i was too dependent on it and it
freaked me out). have you tried anything else? i took
prozac after that for a couple years and had no side effects
whatsoever.

hope all is well with everyone
