    Hey guys,

This might be a stupid question since I guess it depends on what type of virus and your immune system, but how long do stomach viruses usually last? I think I have one and have had it since tuesday and am already fed up of it and I have to travel tomorrow and am scared I will desperatley need a bathroom when one is not around! Any suggestions of something I could take to make sure this doesn't occur? I live in the UK by the way, so if any of you know of UK products, that would be so fantastic thanks!

The typical sv usually lasts about24 hours. That's not sayingyou'll be V or have D for 24 hours but most people will feel 100% better within 24 hours. If you're looking for something to stopdiahrreaI'd go to the pharmacy and ask what they recommend. I don't know about UK over-the-counter meds but we in the states have Immodium and Pepto-Bismol. Immodium is the best for diahrrea (IMHO).

They can last well over a week. You should call in sick and stay in bed so you don't spread it to others.
