Well asmany of you know about my kidney issues, I was having really bad pain in my kidney so I had my boyfriend take me to the hospital. Five hours later we are finally home. The pain started this morning and didn't go away so 12 hours later I figure- I should have it checked. I had to first pee in a cup, they found infection so they sent me to CAT SCAN. My kidney was so enlarged, that they had to call the oncall urologist to see what should be done. I thought for sure I was going to be admitted and have to have surgery in the morning. So he came in and the did this horrible test on me. They put a catheter in and let my bladder drain, then he clamped off the catheter and injected me with 600cc's of contrast and took a series of x-rays to see if my kidney was blocked. I have never felt pain and discomfort the way I have felt tonight. As they were injecting the contrast I was crying and begging and pleaing with the doctor to stop cause it hurt so bad. It was the single worse experience of my life so far...and I have been though alot this past year with 3 kidney surgeries.

The good news is it wasn't blocked and I got to go home, the bad news, I have to go to the doctor on Friday and schedule my surgery, I still have to have a surgery, just not tomorrow...

Needless to say I had a tough night. But I made it though it and I am proud of that...and I defenitly couldn't of done it without my boyfriend, he is amazing and stood by myside and held my hand the whole time.

Yes it's always nice to have a boyfriend/friend with you. I'm sorry for all your pain, I really am. I remember I had a terrible pain in my abdomen so I went to the ER to check it out. They ended up wanting to have me drink this big HUGE bottle of nasty crap so they could scan my stomach and intestines. I didn't want to drink it, I was practically crying, I hate drinking nasty things because I'm always afraid I'll Vomit. Anyway so I called a good friend of mine and he actually SHOWED UP at the ER and coaxed me through it. So I know how nice it must have been to have a boyfriend there.
