It all started about 3 nights ago. I woke up from ALMOST being fully asleep with HORRIBLE acid reflux and a nasty tummy. I got up to get some TUmms and decided I'd try to poop. Well I pooped alright but it was "soft serve" not complete runs but by far not normal. Then next day I woke up feeling ok but had some more soft serve in the afternoon. day after that my son said he tasted eggs when he burped then had what he called "wet farts" into the next day wich was yesterday today he is ok but I feel poopy again and having "soft serve" again. I'm not sick to my stomache but I surely don't feel good. I really hope I'm not having a relapse to last years november. I had the runs ALL month then we all got a stomache virus to end the month off. that was bad. I got through this november with out any problems I thought I was good. now December starts and I get the gut troubles............GRRRR!!!

This happens to me sometimes. I found that if I take one immodium, it stops the "soft serve" and the next timeI go, it's normal. Sometimes, having everything stop for awhile helps.

Wouldn't have thought you've got anything to worry about.
Sometimes if you've been eating rich food your digestive system
plays up a little. Eat sensibly and drink plenty of fluid and I'm sure it
will settle soon.
Plus don't think about last year - it will only serve to worry you. Best
of luck....

Pretty Polly. I know I shouldn't think about last year, you know how the phobia works though....I know in my head that lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice. but my heart says beware....I hate this phobia...

Try the immodium. I do that too and it does clear up the soft serve thing and gets rid of tummy crampy feel too. I also take a benadryl at night to make me sleep and relax and that usually clears up the rest of the stress feeling that is probably causing the other problems.

Feel better and eat plain foods for a while...RICE is great to help make poop more solid and to feel bettter. You can make it with Chicken Broth instead of water and that adds good flavor to it too.

^ LOL, and me! Great phrase, I'm gonna start using it!

carmagnet, do you think it could just be anxiety because of what happened at the same time last year? I'm going through exactly the same thing right now, coz of an incident from december last year - just feeling off in the stomach, 'soft serve' and all! Its just this phobia - even though you don't think you're consciously worrying about it, perhaps you are, subconsciously.

Once you get it off your mind, you'll feel better. Keep active (exercise releases those things in your body that make you feel good...haha, can't think of what they're called, I'm half asleep at the moment!), and eatsome healthy, plain foods like gubba suggested=) see how you go!

I'm doing better today. Still a little nervous cause I haven't eaten anything yet. That's when it happens about 30 minutes after I eat. We will see what happens.
