Honestly- go to sleep, and you will more than likely feel better in the morning. It sounds like gas, and worrying about the situation is probably making it worse and building it up more than it need be.

Chugging water may also be part of the reason why you aren't feeling well- I know for myself if I drink too much of any liquid it makes me feel as though I am going to explode.

Do you have some ginger or peppermint tea you can sip on? I recommend that, and a hot bath. You may also be a bit worried still about that interview a few days ago....could that be it?

    Feel better!

try and relax and know that you are fine. Night is always worse and it is hard to relax, but turn on the t.v. and watch t.v.land. That or lifetime...they always are good distractions.

My phobia gets worse at night, too. And depending on the day my stomach
can just feel bad at random.

What I try to do if I'm feeling anxious at night is to have a plan. People I can
call, somewhere to go (someone's house, hospital), medication - in case
things get really bad. Sometimes just having the plan is enough to calm me
down enough to watch a little TV and go to sleep. But sometimes, and I'm
still not sure why some nights are worse than others, the anxiety takes over.

Tonight I'm not doing so great - my daughter is back at her dad's for the
week and when she's not here I think too much and get self absorbed.

Yes...I bet you are ovulating. I get that when I ovulate and also, just know that if you were really sick, you know how that hits...HARD and FAST. You are fine. It has been all day and I bet you have gotten over stressed about it and it is feeling worse from that too. Go turn on the t.v. and fall asleep on the couch.

Not necessarily- but I do think that if you have been worrying about it, its probably making it worse, and prolonging the agony. I know you may be afraid- but chances are you will feel SO much better in the morning. Staying awake will only make you worry about it MORE.

And if you have your period two weeks ago you could be ovulating- some women do get sharp pains in their abdomen when they are- this could be it.

I think your symptoms would have gotton worse if you were sick.

It seems like what we forget is that MOST OF THE TIME, by far, we aren't
    sick.

I know it's hard because we tend to think, what if this is THE time? But
chances are so hugely in your favor that this is not the time. You sound
anxious with a bit of gas that is making you obsess. Try to get your mind
somewhere else, like with the Tv, and see if you calm down.

    We're here!

its not really the sharp pains thats worrying me, its the cramping in
my upper stomach. its not real bad, but just enough to set me off. i
wasnt really worried all day, and thats when it worries me. if that
makes sense. if i dont feel good and i dont worry about it all day, i
feel like that means im really sick because i just know i dont feel
good instead of worrying about it all day.

i just am nervous now because its almost bedtime, and thats when i
freak out the most. and this guy at works daughter was sick last
thursday and he was out... she was v* and had d*. i asked him today how
she was feeling and he said his wife has it now... no v* but stomach
cramping. could he have tranfered the sv from his wife or daughter to
    me?

I doubt he could have transferred it you unless you drank out of the same
    cup or something.

Listen, it's everywhere this time of year. I had to go to my daughter's school
for a conference today and it was all I could do not to ask who had been out
with an sv. What am I gonna do? I just sanitize the hell out of my hands and
    hope for the best.

Again, chances are that you ARE NOT sick. I know you feel bad. But we tend
to take discomfort that wouldn't really bother anyone else too much and
amplify it to our worst fears.

Can you come up with a plan? Would anything or anyone in particular
    comfort you?

Yes, I do feel that way when the phobia is really bad. I wish I didn't have to
eat and that I could sleep all the time, anything but deal with it.

Are you in any type of therapy?

my parents would comfort me. and even just laying in bed with my kitty
watching lifetime movie network (like gubba said - my fav channel) but
i still freak out if i feel the least bit sick.

plus its like 273479423 degrees in my house because my parents have a
fire in the fire place so my face is flushed, which makes me think i
    have a fever.

Can you step outside for a minute and get some fresh air on your face?
Sometimes this helps clear my anxiety a little.

It's okay, I really know where you're at.

I'm going out to get cigarettes, speaking of smoking, but I'll be back in just
a few minutes and will check back. You hang in there. It's okay.

ago. i have never been able to admit my fear to any therapist before
the one i am seeing now. so thats a good thing. its because of this
site and my boyfriend that i am able to admit it to her.

sienna, im going to try to go lay down, thanks so much for talking to me. i really appreciate it.
