Last night my mom and I were talking about the fact that the holiday
movies they show on tv during Christmas week are always the really
sappy/dull ones. We were wondering why they never show any better ones
just the same ones year after year. That lead to us joking that we
should just rent the decent ones and have our own movie marathon, which
then lead to us trying to come up with ideas about which ones we'd use.

So what I was just wondering what some of your favorites are. Here's what we came up with so far......

Love Actually (If any of you haven't seen this one, do! It's great.)

    Die Hard

    8 Crazy Nights

    Christmas Carol

Oh i love watching Christmas movies, but yeah, like you said, a lot of them today are so dull and sappy lol. I like the old faithfuls, like:

-A Christmas Carol (starring Alastaire Sim or George C Scott)
    -Miracle on 34th Street
    -It's a Wonderful Life
-The Grinch Who stole Christmas (the cartoon)
-The Year Without A Santa Claus
    -Rudolf
-Santa Claus is Coming to Town
-Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey
-A Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out lol)

Regular movies that i love are :

    -ALL Alfred Hitchcock movies
-So I Married an Axe Murderer (Mike Myers..my favorite comedy)
-ALL Jerry Lewis movies (minus Dean Martin)
-What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
    -Clue (Tim Curry)
-Arsenic and Old Lace (another all time favorite comedy)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

I will allow it to pass over and through me.
When it has gone past I will turn my inner eye to see it\'s path.
Where it has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. -Dune

Garfield's Xmas Special

Merry Xmas Charlie Brown (or whatever it is called)

A Christmas Story! (a true classic if there ever was one)
Others that usually make the rounds:

A philadelphia story (Katharine Hepburn is truly the best ever)

Slap Shot (go Chiefs!)

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover (deliciously demented and funny at the same time)

Dogma (Kevin Smith at his best)
