Well.. ive been an emetophobe only for 1.5 years since a little incident with my brother and carsickness a few summers ago.. haha you can probably figure out the rest.. but i have a question. When i was younger i tended to get sick a lot and i would get strep throat more than 8 times a year which sometimes made me v* and the stomach bug once or sometimes twice a year.. yuck pretty bad huh.

But my mom says that since i got sick so much when i was little that my body is better at fighting off the germs so it will be harder for me to get sick. is this true? I havent gotten a stomach bug sincei was 10 and i am now 14. I always thought that since i was sick a lot when i was little that id be sick alot now.. but i havent really been sick in a while. I still get strep throat now and then but i barely notice since im so used to getting it! And it doesnt make me v* anymore which is also good

Any Answers will be greatly appreciated thank you all!

    Hey beach babe-

As I understand it, if you are sick a lot as a child your body develops immunities, which means that the next time around, you have an easier time fighting everything off. Kind of like when you get the chicken pox, it's really rare to get it again (of course, I managed to beat those odds. Yay me).

My brother was also sick very VERY often as a kid- and now I really can't tell you the last time he got a flu or virus.
