I fear v* a lot but i cant believe that you guys manage to stop it. Whenever I get an sv I end up rushing to the bathroom about 8 times and cant stop the v*ing. Is it really possible to stop it even through something needs to come out e.g bad food etc? Is it healthy?

I think it is possible to stop it on many occasions. If you have food poisoning, you do not v* to get bad food out because you are already infected by it when you start v*, so the food that was bad, has already passed through your stomach and been absorbed by your intestines.

Its a different matter if the v* is due to alcohol, drugs or ingested something poisonous because if it stays in your body it will do further damage. I think in these cases it would be very diffecult to surpress it because it is a survival mechanism.

I think it is possible to surpress v*, many of us here have done so for a very longf time, but it would be a bad idea if it were to cause further damage to your body.

    Kylie,

I don't believe I have the power to suppress it, I think I'm just a lucky person who when I have caught something I only V once or twice. I know the times I've V there was no way to suppress it, it was a bodily function. My husband and son are both the same and when they've gotten sv's they V like 7 or 8 times. People are different, I'm sorry you're one who has to do it quite a few times but hopefully you don't get sick very often.

I used to stop myself from it but the last few times i've just let it happen and as long as no-one tried to see if i'm ok I can usually cope untill its all over with - then I just get really upset afterwards. No i've realised that you feel better quicker if you just get on with it and do it rather than concentrating on not doing it!

But my biggest fear has alway been when other people are ill near me.
Never regret the things you\'ve done, only the things you haven\'t
