    Hi everyone!

Guess what? My spanish exchange student is coming with her school group on Saturday! Her name is Noemi. I am so excited! I actually wanted to ask for some advice though. Has anyone hosted an exchange student before? What do they like to do? She says she's really outgoing and likes to go out with friends, so I'm trying to think of things that she would like to do and places that she would like to go...I live right outside Boston, right near the train. Anyideas?

I'll update you on how it goes when she gets here!

Oh, also, I'm a little nervous about if she might be sick while she's here. but hopefully that will take a backseat in my mind soon!

How cool! I don't really have any suggestions, though. I never even know what to do when company comes for the weekend. Good luck! Sounds like it will be fun!

I had a French exchange student whenI was a sophomore in high school. It was an awesome experience! She was only here for 2 weeks, one week she went to school with me, and the other week we were off for spring break. There were some planned activities that the organization planned for us, but we also did lots of stuff on our own. My family planned a lot of fun things, I took her out with my friends, we did the major museums and stuff like that. Have a great time!!

Where is she from? From what I hear, people in developing nations have
built up immunities against some stuff so maybe that will calm you a
    little.

I'd take her to a bunch of the museums. Where is she from? Because Boston is SOOO diverse! How about the Aquarium too? Or some of the restuarants... maybe Quincy Market? SHOPPING!!! Maybe the more country-esque areas. I dunno.... there's so much to do around here.

Eee well...she's coming TODAY! in NINE HOURS! I am so excited...today I think i'll just let her relax, but tomorrow i have something in the morning that she should come to, and then i think that, if she wants to, I might get a couple of spanish-speaking (not necesarily fluent) friends together and go shopping down Newbury Street! Of course, if she doesn't like shopping, then we'll go to the aquarium or bowling. I'm so excited, but I can't believe that today is actually the day!!!
