I’m new here....."Hello" !

Hi there, New here. I'm a 34 year old mother of two great kids. Married 8 years and struggling with this darn phobia. Some days are definitely worse than others, like when my son tells me his "tummy hurts". A mother is supposed to be nurturing when this arises. Me, I panic. I am going to spend some time reading through the posts and get familiar with the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and chatting about this. Thank you so much.

Welcome to the site KC. The people here are great and you will find the support that you need. When my sontells me his stomach hurts I panic and ask the number 1 question, do you feel sick? If the answer is yes, than the question is How are you now? That goes on like every 10 minutes until (a) he says he is fine (b) he was sick and than the cleaning begins and the heart pounding of fear overwhelms me. The phobia sucks big time, I am glad I can come on here and receive the support that is needed, and also give it back when needed.

Welcome KC.....nice to meet you......my initials are actually K C....well before I was married anyway........


I have 2 sons.....15 and 12.....so I know how you are feeling....and the fears that come with emet...you will find alot of support here...great friends....and a place to come where you feel safe with anything you say....good luck...and hope to see you posting again soon....Kate
