I am not taking your fear away from you, but from what I can gather is that you dont really have much of a phobia if you can personally deal/assist with someone v*ing, when unsure if it may be something you could catch. I dont think ANYONE likes to v*, but a phobic person would NEVER do what you have done. I mean, good on you for helping your sister, but if a persons life depended on me helping them V*, I just couldnt do it, even if I wanted to. Phobias rule someones life, I think about it everyday, and avoid dangerous situations. (eg somone v*, or anywhere where bugs could fly around) I will probably die if anything major goes wrong with me, cos I would never set foot in a hospital where germs are rife, plus going under a general anesthetic and risk of throwing up from that would be too much for me. I seriously would rather DIE than V*.

yeah but i helped my sister out because i was the only one around and it was my responsibilty she was passing out, and she had food poisoning...i knew it wasnt contagious, ofcourse i was afraid but i had to do it..or else she could have died i am not a selfish person...and i dont have it as bad anymore because i have been doing therapy for a couple months , id like to add that i wasnt sitting there watching her vomit, i would leave the bathroom as she would, and come back in when she was finished..and help her sit up..and get her water and i dressed ehr(cause shev* right after she was just outta the bath)Edited by: icicledreamz

Diva, Just because she helped her sister out doesn't mean she is any less phobic. I have children of my own AND I am a single mom. If I dont take care of it no one will and they can't do it themselves. they are 3 and 8 they would just be laying around in it if I didn't help them while they are sick. There are things you HAVE to do and things you don't when it comes to family and being the ONLY one that can take care of it at that time I do what I HAVE to do. I'm sure if there was any one else there to do it they probably would have. and she wouldn't have had this triumph. But there was no one and she was able to prove to herself that her therapy is working and it's not all horrible.
