I shouldn't have after the way I felt yesterday, but I had a piece of cake that a coworker brought in for breakfast. Immediately my stomach started to hurt. I felt really sick for a while, but then it subsided. It started out with some really quick sharp pains in my upper stomach that moved around a little. After a while the pains kind of went away but I still felt n*. Now the n* seems to have gone away for the most part and I feel hungry again. But I am getting those sharp pains again only this time they aren’t moving around at all, but are centered in one spot about 2 inches up and one inch to the right of my belly button. They are like sharp, pinching pains and they feel kind of close to the surface if you know what I mean. Does anyone know what this is? Has anyone had a similar experience? I want to eat something but I am afraid to because I don’t want to get n* again.

My stomach has been really off the last few days. I don’t want to take anything because I am trying to get pregnant and I am afraid the medicine might hurt any potential baby. I did take a small dose of Pepto this morning when I felt so n*. I know it is not morning sickness. I am using one of those ovulation predictor tests and it just predicted yesterday that I would ovulate within 24 to 48 hours. So if I am pregnant it is only by a couple of hours! I need to get back to normal if I am going to be able to eat healthy enough to have a baby. Lately everything I eat makes me feel horrible. I am so glad the weekend is coming so I can sit home and relax!

Hey sillygirl - it is possible to get ovulation pains you know, so if
your're about to or are ovulating, that may be the reason.
Your pains too high to be anything like appendicitis (I think), could
well just be trapped wind! Have a good fart and maybe you'll feel
    better!

Good luck with the baby making!!

your pain is probably ovulation. i have that and when i was trying to get prenant, i took those tests and i could always notice a little twinge of pain by my ovaries when i was ovulating. i would never tell you any drug is safe while pregnant, but i went by the theory that until the test came back positive, i did all i wanted to do. i was refinishing our hardwood floors, sanding and using polyurithane when i got pregnant. i stopped doing all the things the day the test came back positive. i did not take anything while pregnant and my son was born perfectly fine. you can take some things that will calm your stomach, but if you are going to get pregnant, you need to eat better than cake etc. You need certain vitamins and minerals that are in real foods and as much as i am a junk eater and i would love on junk if i could, you can't when you are pregnant and you can't with a kid if you want him/her to eat right also.

Good luck and have fun with the baby making this weekend. It is the best experience in the world to have a baby grow inside you and be born and raise him/her. I wish i wasn't 41 or I would do it again today.

I normally do get those ovulation pains too. This was a lot higher though, like just a little under my ribcage. It is gone now. I just ate a Nutrigrain bar a little while ago and it seemed to do fine. I will eat something more (and more healthy) when I go home in an hour or so.

I hope it works this month! Those predicotr test can get kind of pricey if you have to buy a bunch. I am so excited! My husband is getting a little nervous now. He was all ready to go but after I took the test yesterday and told him it was time he told me he was nervous now. I really want to be pregnant! I feel like we have been trying forever, but we really haven't. We just decided to start officially trying in the middle of last month. This is the first time we used the predictor and I was so excited that it actually worked! I was kind of scared that maybe I am not ovulating since getting off the birth control. I will keep you all posted! I have my annual exam in a week, but that's probably too soon to tell if I am pregnant. Keep your finers crossed for me!

LOL you guys are cracking me up today. Have a good fart! My hubby always tells me to let one rip when I feel sick. As if I can just push one out on command like that!

I got ovulation predictor strips from some place online and they were very cheap. they were with all the fancy stuff that comes with the expensive ones...i had done both. ican't remember what the site was that i got them from, but they were like 50 cents each. Hopefully you won't need them next month!!!

I am so excited for you.

Gubba - how many months did it take of the strips before you got pregnant? I don't know why I am so nervous. We are both young (I'm 24 and he's 25). I really hope we don't have any problems getting pregnant, but you never know.

So this is a weird question - the strips say to "play" during the next two days. Is there any magic number of times? Is there such a thing as doing it too much? I don't want to miss the window but I don't want to wear him out either!

I have such a big smile on my face reading that. I was 37 when I got pregnant and it only took 3 months. My Dr. told me to have fun every other day from days 9 - 21. So, the first day of your period is actually day 1, so count to day 9 and from then to day 21 do it every other day. As for the ovulating strips, we used them so that I would not miss the good 3 days that you are most able to get pregnant. So the strip lit up and we did it that day in the A.M., the next day at night and the next day at night as well. it did work, but it took 3 months.

you are young and you will have no problems. I am so excited for you and can't wait to hear that you are pregnant. I will tell you that as an EMET it was very interesting. They can give you drugs to keep you from feeling bad and I thought how great since I always felt sick not pregnant and now they could drug me for it. I never took a pill the whole time. I felt a little yuck on and off, but never V*'d never had D* or anything for 9 months. I had an 8 1/2 pound baby boy and actually went into labor on my due date, but he was born at 1 a.m. the next day. Only 9 hours of labor and I was at work when I went into labor. You will do great!!!

Go get off of here and onto something more important

Age has absolutely NOTHING to do with fertility!
