Hypnotherapy is good, but you should use it as a supplement to a CBT program. That's what I'm doing right now. Basically, for me, hypnosis and self-hypnosis is just another method of relaxation that I can use. I'm still doing exposure therapy work, though too. When I do self-hypnosis, I just feel very very relaxed, and sometimes I even fall asleep. I hope the hypnotherapy helps you.

I'm doing the "self-hypnosis" thing on the 31st, supposedly. My aunt did that w/ the therapist I'm going to see and said she never had another panic attack again, and that she didn't even have to believe it would work. So assuming that that is true, then I think it will at least be beneficial in relaxing yourself.

I just learned about that in my hist of psych class tonight. I was
thinking that it would be good for someone who has emet. You might as
well give it a try, it can't hurt.

If the hynosis helps, I would love to try it. I did look into once and I went for one session, but it didn't really do much. i did not go back and I know it takes more than one session. I just didn't get much from it. It was $100 a session for one hour and i thought I should get more out of it than i did. Please let us know how it goes... I would do it again in hope that I hit the wrong woman the first time.
